Custom outfit craziness, an sept-october report

I swear I have made some progress. I am just always on mobile so I can't upload my photos! Wait to you see the fairy godmother outfit. It's amazing. My mom is an awesome seamstress.

Hi everyone, sorry its been a while. the past few weeks have been crazy and i'm a little exhausted.

So, after the opera performance...... Aiyana had a 2 week summer camp at her musical theater school and an audition for a scholarship towards her tuition. They did Cinderella, Kids, just an abreaveated version of cinderella.

So here we are, taking the subway to her first night at camp

So week one started, and she was cast as....

The Fairy Godmother!!!!!



They also added a whole song for her, Impossible from the broadway version.

and we took her and her best friend to burgatory for dinner afterwords....

and at her audition, she did I know it's today from Shrek, The Musical....

So she was awarded a 25% scholarship off of her tuition, and this was her 1st real audition!

Then on Saturday, she went to her 1st steelers game with her dad!

So, now that we have a Fairy Godmother cape, that will come to the parks with us. I think it will make cute photos with Cinderella and the Fairy God mother!

I havn't got as much as I wanted to done since we were busy with the show and I am working 18 hours of overtime to have enough for the trip.

Also, more and more dr appts. For my shoulder, the Dr said to wait until it starts hurting again, and he will operate then. I guess he did something similar to a nerve block. I have started to feel a little twinge here and there, but I will wait until its more consistant (and after 10/5).....

So I have a few more things done.....

I am going to try to finish my journal today, it will be hard because there are 8 year old eyes over my shoulder most of the time!

I am also going to try to work on her autograph book today..



I am also working on tinkerbelle gifts, but will have to show you those next week when she is back to school.

What a cute fairy godmother! That cape will be cute in the photos! I'm sure the fairy godmother will be so excited to see someone dresses like her! She was so fun when we met her last time.

The FG cape is awesome! That is something not everyone thinks of when dressing up, so I bet she gets a lot of attention from it!

Your daughter is such a little hambone ---- so adorable!! All the things you have made are incredible, but the time you must put into them is insane! I guess I'm not that driven! Yay on the scholarship and for awesome role as the Godmother! Way to go!

thanks! I am super proud of her. We found out that of the 4 8 year olds we know, only 2 got scholarships!

So DD just finished her first week of school. She said the teacher said she won't give her that much homework when she is gone. It was like the first thing she asked her. "Hi, I'm Aiyana. I'm gonna miss school to go to disney. Will I have a lot of homework?!?!?!"

DH is still not back to work, but there is susposed to be a power plant shut down starting the 9th of september that will last aprox 120 days......

This is where my post title comes in.... since he will be new, and they are on a strict time line, he could possibly loose his job..... so our trio is down to two.

I'm a little upset, but I know he is doing the best for our family. I can't get my shoulder surgery and be off work if he's not working..... he will be working like 7 12 hour shifts a week, and won't take much time off at all. Last time he had a run like that he would only take like 1 day every 3 weeks or so....

So i was able to change our reservation since I had the insurance.

They were also able to change all of our dining reservations with no problems.
And I booked the Family Magic Tour!

Ill get my MNSSHP tickets with my next pay.

Delema 2 came when I realized that I can't carry the back pack.... not with my shoulder.... I cant as my 8 year old.... what can I do??

Like i was super upset about this.....

I was looking on etsy, and amazon, wishing I could afford a bag from Serindipi botique....

then I got the best email, labor day sale from vera bradley, I open it up, and the main photo was of a one shoulder back pack used for tennis...... hey that could work..... then it was on sale for $24.99, wow that can really work... delema solved!!!!

Then DD found some cute bags on etsy, but was sad there was no goofy. well the designer also had a goofy design that she is going to make for her, just to hold her pins, vinyalmations, autograph books and little stuff!

I will have photos as soon as i can!
