Currently testing My Magic Plus/Fastpasses at BLT

Tonight we had fastpasses for illuminations! It was super cool not to have to find spots at 8:00 and just show up at about 8:45 to a special location. Especially cool because Illuminations is our favorite.

We are still not able to double dip. We tested it out and our annual pass produces a fastpass slip saying the ticket was not used for park admission.

Something that I learned from this experience was regarding Animal Kingdom. One day we had a late lunch at Sanna and decided to go to AK afterwards. We scheduled fastpasses for Everest, , Nemo the Musical, and Kali. The park closed at 7 and we were there at 4. It was dead and the cast members said typically after the parade the park will clear out. It was so dead we did not need any if the fastpasses! I will never go there in the morning again.

We love being at Animal Kingdom after 4 pm. It's just amazing how nice it is. Sad to hear that you can't "double dip" on the FastPasses. I love the idea of FastPass for Illuminations.

Have you looked online to your MDE and viewed what tickets are linked there and if they are marked active? Because of all the issues you are having and not being able to double dip, it makes me think you don't have your APs attached to your band and I bet there is something wrong with your parents tickets as well, hence the errors about them having no FP entitlements.

If you look under my reservations, there should be a my tickets area and that should list what is linked to your account and if you click on each ticket it will give you current info about it, like mine says how many days left and when it expires and shows me they issued my teen a child's AP which explains why she doesn't require the finger scan. LOL

Does anyone know if BLT is still testing the magic bands? We are going in October and are hoping to be part of the testing. Or do they move onto different resorts for testing?

They are not. We are here and no magic bands. Before I left, I called the help number for my disney experience because I was having an issue with it md they told me which resorts were being tested so I knew before I got here.

Also we have APs and we are able to double dip with the APs and the FP+. We aren't guest testers though so I don't have a KTTW card to test whether it pulls FP or not but our APs definitely do pull them.

Hello,
Just curious, did you have a MB? Or no MB?
Maybe the double dip would only work if you use FP+ withOUT MB?
Because then you will be using your AP to enter the park (instead of your MB) and you can still get the regular APs.
If someone uses their MB to enter the park their physical AP card wouldn't have been scanned in the system and then it wouldn't have worked?

no, I have mb and use that to enter and my ap is just valid to pull fp once I enter with my mb.

Thank you!
Your post gave me hope :)

Do you have the old paper APs or the new RFID ones?

I think it will seem a little Orwellian with everyone walking around with bands on their wrists.

as above no one has to wear a band. you can use your RFID card (room key or annual pass as an example) to do anything you want.
