My family and I are currently on the Dream. Overall it’s going great and we loved the Hero’s Unite Marvel Show. However we had something odd come up.

We have reservations for Remy tomorrow. Before we packed I checked on the updated dress code since we hadn’t sailed since 2018. It’s here if anyone wants to look:
https://disneycruise.disney.go.com/faq/dining-food-beverages/dining-dress-codes/

Adult dining specifically mentions nice jeans being permitted. I brought a nice pair to go with a button down and sport coat. It’s the same look I’ve worn to many very nice dinners at home. However, today in the app I received a notification reminding us about the reservation and it specifically stated no jeans. We are staying concierge so I asked the hosts. They said no jeans. They did get me a pair of pants from the Palo dining team. They fit me horribly and I will look much worse in them (wrong color for both shoes and jacket).

I want to just wear mmy jeans. Does anyone have experience with Remy specifically and the updated dress code?
Thanks.

Could you wear the outfit you bought and show the policy on your phone should anyone say anything?

That message for Remy is automated and you get it for Palo too if you have a booking. I’ve seen plenty of people in Palo in jeans since the change, and they have the same check on podium.

I would go in jeans and if anyone says anything show them the online policy.

This coming from someone who wore Converse to their last Palo res, and nothing was questioned.

We sailed in September '23. While enjoying drinks at the Meridian, the servers confirmed nice jeans and a collared shirt is acceptable - suit jacket not needed.

Follow up. I took the policy to the concierge hosts and they called Remy to confirm. Jeans are allowed and the hosts all learned something new. Interesting how much attention policy changes get in outside communities that get missed internally.

Remy was amazing as always. I did let them know they need to change their notifications and were shocked it hadn’t been updated. They offered another dessert but we’d had way too much already.

Well, you got the ball moving. We are not fans of extra cost dining but it is disappointing that formal dining options seem to be a thing of the past.

I feel like this is a prime example of the whole duck dilemma… guests knowing something the Remy hosts didn’t know… the CMs knowing something about the ducks that the guests “don’t” know…

Idk though, just a random musing… 🤷🏼‍♀️
