We closed on 6/5 and haven't received any welcome packet yet. We did get the sorta terse letter with the membership # though, and that's what you need to book.
All I have ever received from DVC as a resale buyer, for my three resales, was a letter with my member number. I also received a packet from the title company with my contract, etc, after the sale.
Hey I got what I would call a welcome packet today! Our membership cards, car magnets and 2015/16 point charts contained in a big full color booklet.
I'm so happy! The purchase process is officially over!!!!

We got our packet(same stuff) today too! We got an email with our activation code on Saturday, which is funny because we got our activation code from a member services rep to go online on June 24th.
We recorded 6/1, paperwork to Disney 6/4, member number 6/22, member letter (dated 6/20) on 6/29, activation code email 7/4, member packet 7/6. Phew!!!
That's a nice change, I wonder if that is one of the reasons that resales are taking longer to process? Most mailings like this one are done by outside contractors.

I don't think it's adding any time, as we got the full package (including a whole purchase agreement to fill out if we wanted to buy GFV upon receiving the package lol) in February for a resale contract and that was offer to points loaded in just over 50 days.
I have heard from multiple sources that the slowdown is a combination of sudden volume increases coupled with some sort of mistake they made on dues statements that had to be dealt with first back in February, so it pushed resale processes behind too seeing as it was the same group working on both area. But who knows .
