Seen some reports last week that Disneyland and DCA weren’t doing the traditional rope drops they started on June 15 and the parks were now opening shortly after 8am. Any reports from today or this past weekend?

I appreciate these reports! Also, it's great they're letting people in early.
Agreed. We did Peter Pan, Snow White, dumbo, space mountain and was almost to the front of the line at Indy before the official park opening. Of course both Indy and the Haunted Mansion went down which put us a bit behind, but overall it’s been a great day.

Rope drop happened at 8:01 over at CA today. At least toward Cars\Avengers\Pixar Pier.

I was at the park last Sunday (July 11) and rope drop took place at 8:00 at the head of Main Street. Several other guests I spoke with wondered why we weren’t allowed to assemble at the hub, since this would have spread the crowd out over a larger area. I suspect it came down to staffing. That is, it would take fewer CMs to tend to a rope drop at the head of Main Street than it would at the hub; one area versus five.
