Could someone please give me the details? I know that they occasionally make changes about where they hold the crowd, walking guests to attractions, etc. Also, are they opening a bit before posted time for the summer?

Thanks!

Last month at Epcot the front gate opened at 8:45. At that time we were allowed to proceed but are then held at rope lines at the entrance to the two breeze-ways on either side of the center fountain until 8:55 and then we were walked forward by CMs.

Last week magic kingdom was opening about 15 minutes before official time, and there were no restrictions or holding areas inside the park. Epcot was similar timing with holding as described by the poster above.

Animal Kingdom also opened about 15 minutes early, but with holding on discovery island until 9. The holding period allowed us to get our wilderness explorer book and introduction for the kids, so it worked out perfectly.

This was the same for us in November.

As of this past weekend... AK, HS, and MK were all holding at the normal locations near the turnstiles. However, Epcot has been opening up earlier between 8:30 and 8:45 allowing guests all the way back to the bridge at Mexico in WS. Big groups piling up there to wait standby for Frozen.

How is the Frozen thing looking like now for rope drop? Like, is there a crazy crowd waiting around 8am already and going straight to the line?
Like, is it worth it to even attempt that, or am I still looking at a 60 to 90 minute wait if I get to the gates at 830-845am?

3 of us showed up at 8:55am entering through the international gateway on July 4th and only waited 30min in Standby.
