Current Room Assignment Policy

We're checking into OKW late Sunday afternoon 3/13 and staying one night on a cash reservation in a 1BR and then moving to a 2BR on Monday 3/14 for 8 nights. Do I have a better shot at getting special requersts honored by checking in on the points reservation early Monday morning or will the room already have been preassigned? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

I would check in 1st thing on Monday. Even if the room is not available, you can be sure to have it assigned.

I agree that checking in early seems to be the best way to have a chance at getting your requests met. But since you are there on Sunday afternoon, mention when you check in and see what they tell you.

OKW is wonderful! We stayed last Easter, first night on cash, and then moved to stay on points. The most awesome CM at check-in the next morning told me where all of the available rooms would be and let me choose my building. They just know how to do it right at OKW! Experience speaks volumes! That and they are only a DVC resort, no additional hotel rooms to deal with.
