Hi! What are the current refillable mug rules with respect to a split stay trip? I just booked my airfare for my November trip and we are going down a night early. So I will probably book one of the value or moderate resorts for the first night before we move over to AKV. So, I was wondering if the mug would be good for the entire trip? If not, then I will just pay for my breakfast soda on the first morning and then buy my mug at AKV at lunch time. Also, are all resorts using the same mug now?

All the resorts are using generic WDW "Year of a Million Dreams" mugs, so you would have no problem bringing it from one to another. :)

The only Resort not using them is Corondao Sprigns because thier dining locations are not owned by WDW, which means they are selling the Coronado Springs logo mugs. So they would be the exception to the rule because the Year of a Million Dreams mugs would not be allowed to be used over there.

Forgot about that one... yes, Coronado Springs does not use the generic mugs, instead they use special Coronado Springs mugs. :)

The signage still limits your refills to your resort, for your current stay.

The fact that Disney has changed to a generic mug suggests CMs have little motivation, or ability, to enforce said rules.

I liked having a resort specific souvenir mug. A couple of free refills and the effective price of my souvenir mug became zero.

Plus they would have to be mind readers to know where when how you got your mug.

Thanks everyone! Now I just need to figure out which resort to stay at for the first night.
