I know that you need to book a specific time for the Rain Forest Room once onboard the ship; can the one-day pass be pre-purchased, or is it all handled onboard now?

They are not doing 1 day passes right now. You reserve a 1 hour and 45 minute session for up to 10 people for $175

Does anyone have any updates on the Rain Forest room? Have they changed it so you can purchase a day pass again or is it still reserving the room as stated above?
My friend will be sailing on the Fantasy for her 60th and I was thinking of getting her a spa gift credit to cover a day pass. But if I she has to reserve the room for that price I'll find something else to get her.
Thanks :)

It is no longer reserving it for private use. All ships have length of cruise passes. Some of the ships have day passes back. We did a week pass on the fantasy last week, and in April. I can’t say for sure if they were selling day passes
