Was wondering if anyone knew the current price per point at VGF if you purchase direct through Disney? Also wondering about BLT...I'm trying to get a small contract..50 points or so.

Depends on use year and what Disney is holding on the day you call to purchase. Could be as soon as the same day, could be a couple weeks to a couple months. Disney is always getting points back, mainly by foreclosure and to a lesser degree by ROFR.

Also be aware that 50 points direct will likely cost you in the same ballpark as 100 points resale at these properties (except VGF.) Is there a specific reason you want a direct purchase?

If you are again speaking of buying direct. If DVC does not currently have them available, they generally become available within several weeks. I was called within a week of my request for BCV.

to buy direct from Disney you need at least 100 points. Add ons can be any number 25 and up. 50 and up to finance at Disney's crazy high rates.

There are some recent reports of new members buying only 50 points. I guess it depends how desperate your salesperson it.

I bought 50 direct as a new member in 2013. They acted like it was a standard offer.

Which resort?

I can see whey Disney would sell any points they can claim on a ROFR ......If they can make the sale they will make a profit.

I think any new resort (VGF, at this time, and soon Polynesian) would probably be 100 point minimum.
Just speculating.

Last week I was told by the guide I was speaking with that it was $125/point for OKW, VWL, SSR, BCV, BWV. AKV was $145/point. BLT, VGF, and Aulani were $165/point.

The guide stated there is a $5/pp discount going on right now on older resorts. That accounts for the discrepancy.

I added on BWV twice this year and was offered $7 off the price of $130 if we bought 50 or more points (for existing members). Not sure this is still going on...sounds like now they are just offering $5 off.
