Current prices for sold out resorts

Ok, addonitis is starting to creep its way up on me.

And ironically I am considering an add on to one of the 2042?? resorts (brain fart in process), resorts I said I wouldn't buy

What is the add-on rate for the Boardwalk through Disney?

And if going the resale route, how often do small contracts come up? Looking to add on 56 points. I know I can call them and have them call me when one pops up, but wondered how often they do.

Add-ons thru DVC will be in the same Use Year you already own. Just let your guide know what you wish to purchase and they can find the points in your Use Year. For several of the 2042 resorts your Use Year may already be available but some may require a waitlist. Your guide can advise.

I'm pretty sure you already know all this, but just in case: Just be sure you factor everything in when you crunch the numbers. When adding on that number of points, the closing costs on a resale purchase could add $7/pt or so to your purchase price. Add in full or partial dues reimbursement and the resale price can go almost $5/pt higher. When adding on directly through Disney you will get a full set of current-Use-Year points with pro-rated dues starting from your purchase date. The ROFR level for BWV (even for small contracts) has come down a bit recently and the price through Disney has gone up so it's not clear if buying directly from Disney is still the cheaper way to go, but it will be the quickest way to get the points in your account. Also, pay attention to the timing: if you are still in your 2006 UY, buying from Disney will get you 2006 points. If your UY has already started, you will start with 2007 points. That makes a difference when doing the comparison.

Too funny Cobbler, we've been crunching #'s to add-on at BWV, a place also I would never buy at!

On Friday, I added on 30 points at VWL, and just added on another 30 at BWV today. In both cases, the points were in my account and available on dvcmember.com that same day. Very fast and no closing costs.

I want 60 points. Enough for 6 nights every 3rd year for the 2 seasons we most likely travel.

Hubby isn't all into it just yet. I am dropping hints big time. Personally I would rather have BWV over CRV because I like Epcot a bit more even with the extra years.

However I would be selling them in a second for the Poly.

I just don't know if 98 a point is worth 34 years.
