Does anyone know what the current price / incentives are for SSR?

I took a tour about a month ago but I believe since then the 2006 points they give you extra are no longer available so just curious what all has changed since then?

tks

I know for current member add-ons it's $104 - $10 incentive, 100 pt. min (might be 50... talked to our guide about 100 so...).

The way I understand it is you get points for your current use year If you are still in an '06 UY you will start with '06 pts. If you are already in '07 UY you start with '07. (Feel free to correct me folks if I messed this up).

but what is the current price & incentive for 160pts at SSR new purchase. also use year?

anyone?

Currently they are doing double developer points as an incentive. Price is $104 per point at AKV or SSR. Developer points have to be used within 7 months no banking. 100 point minimum for current DVC owners. I think that it is a 160 point minimum for 1st time buyers. You would then get 320 developer points. Someone else may know for sure that it is 160 for new buyers.

Good luck - hope that you join!

Last week I talked to a DVC CM and she told me that SSR just completely sold that week. Could this be true????? I know, I know, only believe 1/2 of what they say, but she seemed pretty knowledgeable to me. :confused3

We bought 2 weeks ago & the incentive was $10 per point. Minimum of 160 points and 25 point minimum add-ons. The going rate is $104 per point less the incentive. We were told that SSR was close to sold out when we bought.

so is it true ssr could now be sold out?'

if not and they are still giving 160 extra points...what is the renew month and can it Be banked?

Developer points cannot be banked and must be used within 7 months or they will expire.

I'd be surprised if SSR has sold out. They were still selling it last week when we were there at least.

I'm currently at OKW and went this morning to the DVC sales presentation here at the Community Hall. The double developer points are available for both SSR and AKV. I missed the beginning of the presentation, but when I spoke one-on-one with a guide, there was no talk about SSR being sold out or even that we should hurry because it was close (although there were plenty of other reasons to hurry).

Also, since my use year is August, if I buy into any resort, including OKW, I would still get 06 points. That works until August 1st.

When I bought SSR in March the UY was September. So they basically go 6 months from the current one. So 6 months from now would be Dec 07, is my math right? So you would get 06 points and new points Dec 07. This was at least the deal in March.

I just talked to my rep. He mentioned buying at Saratoga. He said, not only do you get the double point incentive, but also at Sara you get 2006 points, no maintenence.

If you bought 160 points you would get

320 extra pointa to use in 7 months , (they would work with you in changing points already used in the next 7 months to bank them)

Also, you would get 160-2006 points no/maintenence
and you would get 160-2007 points + maintenence

That is a total of 640pts, plus many years to come.

Also Sara has lower maintenence fees ( maybe this is because you do not have to pay to feed animals)

Are you sure about the double developer points plus the 2006 points?

I have been trying to get my guide on the phone since Monday in order to add about 120 more points. Strangely he has not returned the call. He was off on Tues. and Wed. but I thought that I would have heard from him by now as I started leaving messages on Monday. We have never had this problem. I am anxious to change around some reservations to use the developer points and then bank my regular points.

Has anyone had a problem switching current reservations over to developer points?

i dont want to unbook my New Year's reservation and try to rebook it for fear that the room would be snatched by the auto waitlist!

I beleive you get the 2006 points if you are within your 2006 USE YEAR. This was my understanding, hopefully someone else will confirm or unconfirm.

You would get your 2006 points, plus the double developer points, only if you are not yet into your use year. For instance, since my use year is Aug and we are considering adding 100 points, I would get right now:

200 points to be used within 7 months
100 points from 2006

And on August 1st, I would get another 100 points, plus my normal allotment. I would need to use or bank that 100 points from 2006. I can not bank the 200 developer points.

We just called our Guide and added on 100 points at AKL with our User Yr being Dec. He took all our info and said that he would call to confirm Sat (tommorow)
The incentive was what you posted :-) 200 points that cannot be banked plus the 100 points that you can bank and then we get the 100, 07 points in Dec along with our other contract points!

I am very excited!!

We have 160 at SSR we just bought in April and now 100 at AKL!!

Do you get the developer points, 2006 year points plus the ones that come in your use year this year with both SSR AND AKL?
Or is it only at SSR that you get the 2006 points??

So glad that you got AKV! We may have to get some there as well as SSR. If the incentives last awhile longer I may be able to convince DH to do another 100 points. Gosh, now I just have to figure out to use all the points that we have What a great problem!!!

Gosh - I did not notice that you said that you got AKV and they did the 2006 points as well as the double developer points. Our guide said that we could only do that at SSR. Did things change? If you can get the whole package at AKV then we will certainly add 100 points.
