I think I remember the price going up in June, But I don't remember what it went to. We are only interested in HH (#1 choice) or BWV. We did have a resale contract through the Timeshare Store, but it was ROFR'd by Disney. I'm not opposed to going resale again, but we are picky about our use year and contract size, and don't care for the whole ROFR business. I still check the Timeshare Store page daily, but haven't seen what we're looking for since our our last contract fell through.

We have already added on 3 times, but it has been a few years since our last contract. Is there a current incentive to buying an add-on through Disney?

At the same time, I kind of hate the thought of going through Disney for another add-on. It just seems to encourage them to keep ROFRing contracts!

Can you tell I'm a little confused about what to do?

Wow. In that case, I guess I'll just be patient and keep my eyes on the resale market! :earseek:

For HHI you should definitely do that. For BWV, I don't think you'll find a whole lot of savings on the resale market. Contracts seem to be going in the low $80s with the buyer paying closing costs and maintenance on any current points available. These fees can easily add another $6-8 per point to the contract, especially for those with less than 150 points.

At BWV, I bet you're darn close to DVC's price when all is said and done. The real benefit to resale now, IMO, is if you can find a contract with banked points. But, given your stated limitations on UY and contract size, you may be waiting a while to find a truly great contract--and then you still face ROFR.

At HHI, prices seem to be more in the high-60s to low-70s. Even after adding in the other fees, you will realize considerable savings over Disney prices.

Yes, we were very excited when we came across a 100 point HH contract for $68 per point with our use year. Apparently, so was Disney.
