Current plastics ban-lids

the stand I work at a small park had to take out our recycle bins because most of it had to go in garbage any way because when garbage is mixed in it becomes garbage
This does not surprise me at all. NYC has had a mandatory recycle program for businesses and residences for at least 25 years. There are people who live here who still haven't figured it out even with a sign prominently displayed by all trash receptacles. Strange.
Did you try the lids? I wouldn't be surprized if disney has cups that are a 16th inch too fat for standard lids. I'd be more than happy to bring some lids and straws into the park. We are very much they type to get a meal and soda and carry the drink for another half hour.

At this point I have some tall cups with lids and the take and toss kids cups (the ones with straws), they will nest somewhat. Are the rules still that you can't take ANY TYPE of straw into AK?

As I recall from our visit last week all parks including AK now offer paper straws. My impression of the straws was the same as @MinnieMSue : didn't fall to pieces and had no discernible taste. Sure not the paper straws of old.

The official rule only states no plastic straws. In practice I'm not sure how strict they are about any types of straws.
