Current Mask Requirement Question for the Theme Parks

I have a vacation planned for Oct 9th, so I have been watching to see "which way the winds blow..."

Just for background information, I am fully vaccinated as is my wife. My then to be 10 year old son is not, nor is my 1 year old daughter. I guess my big question is;
1. Arent guests who are not vaccinated suppose to wear masks? And if that is the case, then arent 100% of the children 2-11 suppose to ware a mask? Did I miss something??
Others have told you what Disney has posted about the current mask regs. Keep in mind to check what the mask regs will be closer to your trip.

That doesn't surprise me at all. The only way you can enforce the unvaccinated mask mandate, is to ask for proof of vaccination. I though I heard somewhere that they are starting to ask for proof. Now I'm wondering if I just misheard because I think that news would be everywhere by now :scratchin

No that is not true. As PP stated, the use of a vaccine passport is banned in FL.

Disney is trying to exist in that space where some people are vaccinated and some aren't... and state law seems to prevent asking... and it would be a logistical nightmare to screen for vaccination status at entrances as well as other security measures... and the science seems to contradict itself every week or so... and they need to try to recoup pandemic losses in the parks...

In other words, there are no simple solutions and no simple answers. There is literally no way to please everyone.

We just got back and I can’t stress enough how “business as usual” it was. Almost no one had masks on. It was very few and far between. No one was policing any of it in any way. To be honest, it felt like covid never happened. Everyone was on top of each other again in lines, on buses, in the theaters. My DH and DS actually both got sick our last day. Covid tests were negative and they were just bad colds but germs are definitely being shared at Disney again. For those of us not wearing masks at least!
