Current Incentive - Got a Postcard - Hopper Tickets

I have been busy and did not keep up with all the stuff that is going on on the Disboards. What is DVC currently offering for add-ons for at least 50 points? From the card, it seems to be some type of hopper tickets. My guide also left me a message saying something like that.

What are the specifics and price per point for existing resorts plus SSR? Thanks!!!

The promotion sent a few weeks ago was for a single 1 Day, 1 Park pass for every 25 points purchased. Not sure if it was just SSR or all resorts.

SSR is $85 per point net with $10 off per point promotion. You probably need to buy 100 pts to get the $10 off.

All other resorts are $89. Again, I'm not certain if you get the passes with the other resorts. DVC normally offers promotional discounts / rewards only for SSR.

I got the same postcard, but it does not give all the details. I completed the purchase of a 50 point add-on @ SSR this afternoon with guide Marc Turner.

I had a choice of Phase 1 (June 2004 points) @ $90/point or phase 2 (June 2005 points) @ $85/point based on June use year. I chose phase 2 @ $85.
I had to put down 10% ($475 = 50 x $95 x.1) and then they take off the $500 (50 pts x $10/pt) credit leaving me with an amount financed of $3,775.

Not only do I get the 2 one day/one park tickets which I am giving to my father as a Christmas gift, but I will not have to start paying dues or make monthly loan payments until June 2005. We did not need the points in 2004.

I did make it over a year from when I first bought into DVC @ SSR in 10/03 before doing my first (hopefully not last) add-on, but it has been less than 5 months since we took our first trip home this past July. This gives us 200 pts.

P.S. Our 2005 trip is a 4 night DCL crusie with a night at Wilderness Lodge in a 2 bedroom both before and after the cruise. I just found out today that my kids will also be going on another crusie (Royal Carribean) in August 2005.

I have a couple questions about the add-on promotion. I'm not sure if I missed out, or if I should be questioning my guide further. My husband and I agreed to purchase 50 add-on points at SSR a few days prior to the new add-on promotion being announced. We were also given a choice of Phase 1 or Phase 2 points, and we chose Phase 2. We had just received the paperwork from DVC when the promotion was announced. At that point, we hadn't signed any of the paperwork to send back to DVC. I contacted my guide and was told we were one of the few that fell into this category and we did indeed qualify for the promotion. He said he would make sure we were sent 2 one day/one park tickets. But, he never mentioned a $10 incentive per point if we chose Phase 2. At the time I thought the $10 incentive was for a 100 point purchase. However, based upon what I am reading here, it appears the incentive also applied for a 50 point purchase. Can anyone verify this? Was my timing off since we agreed to purchase right before the promotion began? If that was the case, then I wouldn't think my guide would have offered the park tickets. I think this is bothering me more because it's a $500 difference in price depending on whether or not we get this promotion. What do you all think?
