We are leaving this week flying from NY. What is the current price of gas in orlando?

When we left this AM (Sat 08/11) 2.699 was lowest on Sand Lake Drive Universal area East towards airport.

Avoid the gas stations due north of the airport. From time to time they are among the most expensive.

Returning to airport via I-4 east (northeast) to 528 Beachline/Beeline east, get off 528 at its exit 9 Tradeport, left and cross under, and nice cheap gas station is right there for topping off. No out of your way hunting, no miles and miles of traffic lights. Save an additional 75 cents (toll) by leaving gas station and getting into middle lane with 528 crossing behind you. Required right onto McCoy and next light is airport north entrance.

I've been reading your thread on gas prices in Orlando.
I live in the UK,when you say $2.65ish for what quantity of gas is this eg litre or whatever ?

Keith.

gasoline is measured in gallons in the US. it's about 4 liters.

That makes a difference. The cost here in the UK is around 96p ($1.82) a litre.
So that makes it £4.32 ($8.20) a gallon.Our gallon is 4.5 litres.

A gas station called The Landing Spot north of Orlando International Airport on SR 436 does not post it's prices and is always the highest in Orlando. The Chevron station in Lake Buena Vista on SR 535 at I-4 is always the second highest. You can see them in the lower section of www.orlandogasprices.com

Please....Brits and other Europeans! The prices at those two stations may be cheap relative to your home prices BUT YOU ARE BEING GOUGED! Please fill up somewhere else. These places would go out of business if no one bought gasoline there.

>>> Please, Brits and other Europeans and others too...

If you go out the north exit of the airport scrounging for gas, take a left at the first light. Next light, just over a mile west, take a left and just ahead on the right is a reasonably cheap gas station (the same one I mentioned six inches above).

This route is also quite suitable for going to Disney, you get on 528 west just opposite that gas station and take 528 all the way to I-4 west. Just 75 cents for tolls.
