Current free dining offer expires May 18. What's next? (Looking for rumors!)

Right, not that the regular dining plan would be free, but won't they allow you to pay the difference?

I would call back. You should be able to upgrade to DDP or even DxDP

Don't give up hope if you don't see the email right away. When they sent them out in January, we called and had one, and got the email 2 days later.

So assuming free dining does indeed come out for the fall...Our check in date is at POR Fri Oct 5th. If that day is the first of a blackout date, are we able to add a day (the 4th) to our reservation?

Yes. As long as rooms are available at your resort for that night. As long as you checkin prior to the blackout date you receive FD the length of your stay up to 14 days

Do CMs get annoyed with people calling to ask if a PIN code is attached to their name? I see all the back and forth and am curious if I have one as well.

Just got off the phone to check and see if we had any pins (we didn't, of course ) and the CM said she had heard rumors of pin codes being sent out very soon and to keep checking email and regular mail. Keeping fingers crossed!

Yes, I paid the difference, but I was hoping it would all be free...but I am happy to at least have QS free. That extra $200 bucks would be nice though.

Hope everyone gets there FD. We have gone the past 3 year s going on 4 with FD. We would still go with out it but would have to cut our days down. I'm hoping for another bounceback for 2013. I like leaving for vacation knowing we are going back. Next year we are hoping to do 2 full weeks.

I called last week and had no pin under my name. After reading all the info on this thread I called back this morning and there was a code there. The code was for free QS dining on all value and moderate resorts. Anything above that would have the Table service included. I was also told that this was good for the remainder of 2012, up until Dec. 20th. And the only blackout dates were Nov. 17-23. She also said that all resorts are included (I was questioning the new AoA value resort).

Something struck me as strange though, when I asked her if I had a pin code, she asked me if I have stayed at WDW before and when was the last time I was there. I have never had a CM ask me that prior to answering my question before, although I have only called them a few times. Also, when she said there was a pin under my name (in kinda talking to herself) she was trying to find out what code it was. It sounded like she said there were three different types of codes, all seemed to have different letters assigned to each. Anyway, it turns out my code letter was "L". Maybe some other of the Disney Vets on the boards may know what this means. It almost seemed liek she was seeing what I qualified for. At least thats what came to my mind. Regardless, I hope this answers some of the questions already posted on this thread.

So I hear that people are finding pin codes under their spouses name. Each time I call, they just always check our email address. Should I specifically ask them to check names??

It seems that my DH and i are under the same "account", the CM said that they use home address and email (I never gave them an email for my DH who had the pin). But the pin was only under my DH name. So when I would call, I would specifically ask them to check under my husbands name also,

AoA was included with my FD pin, but I was told there were only 2 rooms left in Little Mermaid and it was more $ than Pop and Pop was more than ASMO. Since we are staying 12 days, we picked the cheapest.

We're going in August and I just keep hoping that we will get that FD pin that is out there for the free dining. We missed the travel time for the general discount by a week, but with my son going back to school the week it is offered it just isn't an option for us to move the vacation. Still hoping for something <sigh>

I just called back and got the exact dates for the FD pin that was offered to me this morning. It is valid Sept 30-Dec 13 with Nov 30-Dec 9 being blocked out.

Does anyone know if Disney ever offers pins for something specific (room discount or free dining) and then DOES NOT offer it later as a GP offer? Curious if the fact that they released pins for FD means they will release it for GP eventually - or are the two not always connected?

Whether they have or not, I'm sure the folks in Disney marketing are hoping any day now they can eliminate the GP discounts and just go with PINs as needed.

Much to my dismay as president of the "no pn" club.........
