I would say keep it included but then less paper cups used at the stations outside and everyone gets a keepsake....just an ideaSo that would mean a beverage package?

I was just trying to be funnyI seriously doubt that they will be getting rid of Diet Coke any time soon. It might be that stations on one side have it and the other have Coke Zero, but Diet Coke is about as much a staple as Coke and Sprite at Disney properties and ships.
I prefer Coke products as well but I do love Mountain Dew.I was just trying to be funny. I am diet coke dependent and am so happy that Disney doesn't partner with Pepsi.
Right...there would be no need for it unless they implemented a beverage package and given the sanitary rules to follow that are in place (using a cup for each refill)....it just doesn't make any sense for Disney to do it. At least when the CM's were manning the beverage stations during the illness breakout on the Fantasy in May they still let you use a personal mug, but they didn't use a cup on each refill because they were the only one coming in contact with the soda fountain. But why the RFID chip?

Yes, Coke Zero one side of the pool, Diet Coke on the other.^^^^^^^ That right there is the truth. When we did our Western Caribbean on the Fantasy a couple of months ago it was Coke Zero on some of the stations and on others, it was Diet Coke. Coke products are all that is served when it comes to Disney... Too bad though, I love my Diet Dr. Pepper!
You've got to be careful when you ask your waiter for a Coke. A lot of places just consider it "cola" so you'll end up with Pepsi or worse....RC cola.I hear you! I am bracing myself for our nights out at Calabash having to drink tea or water (and wine of course) when we eat out because all the places (at least the ones we go to) have nasty Pepsi. I sometimes forget and order a Diet Coke and if I am lucky the waitress will say “Diet Pepsi ok?” And I am like “Just water (or tea) then.” If I am not lucky they don’t say anything and I take a sip and try to not spit it out before asking for water or tea instead.

They actually do, at Shanghai Disneyland![]()
Note to self: Scratch Shanghai from the Disney wish list. (Paris is also off because their allergy protocol is reportedly basically TV dinners free of all the major allergens, and...GROSS.)
When we cruise, I usually have to take a few Mountain Dews in my carry on.I prefer Coke products as well but I do love Mountain Dew.![]()
That was definitely not our experience at Disneyland Paris. Server or chef would bring a multilingual list of all allergens in items and which could be modified. California Grill at DLH remains one of my all time favorite Disney restaurants!
When they had the soda "package" did they also charge for individual sodas? Or did they monitor the soda dispenser to make sure everyone had the mug?DCL absolutely did have a soda package for years. You bought a mug for each member of your family and it was unlimited soda refills (out on the decks....MDR's always had soda included).
If I can remember the mugs used to be $10 each for unlimited soda on deck ( I have a pic of the sign somewhere). Once they went to free soda they just sold the inventory of mugs for $3 as seen in the pic below.
