Current DVC incentives?

Could some one please help me. I spoke with someone last month about buying into the DVC. That incentive expired 7/31. I see on the DVC website that there is something like $1500 savings (or $10/pt). Do you have to sell back the 06 pts for the $10 savings? Please explain this incentive.....We're going to WDW in two weeks and plan on buying then.....Thanks

Best thing to do is call your DVC rep. They will best instruct you on incentives.

I just took the DVC tour this week before we came home. This is what I was told as far as incentives. Your points become available October 1 but your stay cannot begin before November 7. (something about an occupancy license they are getting that day)

Becasue of that, you are given $10 per point (or $150 on a 150 point contract) to take off your loan amount or apply to yur down payment. For example, I was looking at a 160 point contract. My down payment would be $3200 but I would only be responsible for $1600 of that amount.

this is what I was told. Hope it makes sense to you...it's easier to understand on the paperwork I received as opposed to trying to explain it here. sorry!
