Current Cruisers on the Disney Magic May 7th-14th

Just curious if anyone is currently on the Disney Magic. We board on Saturday for the 14 Day Panama Canal Cruise and was just wondering if anything special is taking place on the ship this week before we arrive. I am sure there should be alot of talk about the next cruise from cast members.

Any information would be appreciated.

We were on the April 23rd cruise.

It was our first DCL cruise so this might just be the norm but it seemed like there was a lot of painting and refurbishing going on. I wondered if it was for the repo and west coast cruises then figured it was Disney and it's just probably what they always do to keep things looking perfect (which is fine with me)

Also, I'm sure that you've seen other threads about new menus. The past couple of cruises have been guinea pigs for some of the new menus they are going to have on your repo cruise. Apparently it takes a LONG time to put a new menu in place (land side managemnt approval, etc.) so they've been working on that for you for a while.

I'm tagging along to this thread! I leave on Friday and board that beautiful Magic on Saturday. We are so excited. . . .

Can you check to see if the Galaxy movie is onboard? I saw the other thread with the list, but Galaxy wasn't listed....

Sorry, I'm not on board but I talked to DD last Saturday and can tell you that the crew are getting as excited as those of you planning your trip. This will be a new experience for many of them and they're looking forward to it.

When we were on our cruise back in April, we looked into the 14 day cruise. It would've cost us just slightly more than what the 7 day cruise cost. The only thing that stopped us was having to pull our children out of school for 2 weeks. Not sure if the school would've like that. Just to go thru the Panama Canal will be awesome! Have a wonderful time! Please post a trip report!

Yes, Hitchhikers Guide is currently on the ship along w/ A Lot Like Love. From what I have gathered onboard right now, there isn't much out of the norm.
