Current Cruise Directors

We are sailing on the Magic 12/12 and are curious about who our cruise director could be. I am hoping that it is Christian or Clayton.

On our September Wonder cruise, Christiaan said that he is the "Executive Cruise Director" on the Wonder and Brent has the same position on the Magic. He said that means that they will be on those ships exclusively for the next 2 years except when they are on vacation.

We specifically asked about December; Christiaan said he thought Brent would be on board then.

We just sailed the magic on October 3rd and Clayton was the cruise director. I know he was definatley going to be doing the cruise after ours because he talked about it several times. He was really funny!!!

I know that we have Clayton as our CD on the 11/14 Western. There was a thread about the CD schedule a while ago. I think Brent went on vacation in either May or June and, IIRC, he was supposed to be back on the Magic in late November/early December.

I was on 9/5 and had Brent. I am very jealous of you having Clayton aka Hollywood!! He is my all time favorite CM and I really wanted him as my CD!

We are boarding the Wonder on 11/5 and I really really wanted Clayton as the CD again. We had him last time and he was fantastic! Did he do the I'm on vacation dance?
He was so great w/ the add'l (non CM) entertainer, Ricky K something (he was a hypnotist.) The pair of them were hysterical!! Looks like he won't be on our cruise. I wonder who we will have?

Does that mean Brent would be our CD for our January cruise? Had him last year and he was great. Really, I just like the sound of his voice over the loud speaker

We are boarding the Wonder on 11/5 and I really really wanted Clayton as the CD again. We had him last time and he was fantastic! Did he do the I'm on vacation dance?

We were on the Magic a couple of weeks ago and he was doing the vacation dance that week.

The night we were at Palo's Clayton was also there. After a couple of glasses of wine the two DHs at our table got up, went to his table and did the vacation dance for him. Neither of them said a word to him, just did the dance and came back to our table. It was a real ROFL moment

We were on the Wonder last month for the DVC members cruise and Christian was our CD. Since DCL is launching the first new ship in 2011 they are training new CDs for the expanded fleet. On our cruise we had a very nice chat (about 30 minutes) with the "assistant" CD who will probably be taking over the Wonder when it moves to the west coast. His name is Adam and he said he has been CDing (is that even a word?) for other cruise lines for about 18 years and spent most of his time doing Alaska, so he brings a wealth of knowledge about Alaska cruising with him. Those of you who have Alaska cruises booked should have a great time with Adam, he is a very nice guy. My guess is Christian will be taking over the new ship when it launches.

Anyone know the actual date? It'll be curious for us if he returns on the Jan 10th cruise since we're sailing 1/7 and 1/10 back to back. If he doesn't return to the 10th, then we'd have 1 CD for the first cruise and Christiaan for the second one.

We had Christiaan on the Magic last December.

Oh, now you've all got me curious as we had Brent on the Magic in June and I loved hearing his accent.... But I'd be happy to experience a new CD, too!

Hopefully David will be around in the Rockin' Bar D' so that he can continue to (playfully) mock by single gal boogie!

if your talking about the David I think you are talking about the last time I talked to him he said he was going to be on the Magic till December 19th

I was about to post a question about the current Magic CD when I came across this thread. I am sailing on 10/31 and was hoping Brent was going to be the CD. This is our 4th sailing on the Magic and have had him as our CD on our previous three. I thought he was a great CD and I love the accent. From the previous posts it seems like he is currently on vacation, but it's nice to hear such praise for Clayton. I guess if Brent is not on the Magic this month, hopefully I will see him in the Med this August. Does anyone know when Brent is returning to the Magic.

I personally found the cowboy outfit to be cute, too! or the 70's garb... he's a stitch and really made it fun especially as it was only the "gals" who would get out on the dance floor on our last cruise.

I am curious too. I guess their schedule change all the time because I read a thread that Brent wiil be on the Magic until October 10th but then I read something that Clayton is the CD on the magic for couple weeks now. So who knows when Brent coming back.
