I searched, but didn’t see anything specific to the point.

following disboards rules ONLY please:

what are the CURRENT rules regarding Disney World right now? My family leaves in 10 days and I want to be prepared.

Are masks Required still? Indoor only? Outdoor as well? Are there any kind of social distancing rules? Are restaurants open full capacity or reduced?

I am asking here so I can get real time info from people there or recently gone because everything I am finding on Google and whatnot are dates months prior. I don’t know what has changed by what I am finding.

if there is an ongoing thread please point me to it as I didn’t see one with current protocols laid out

They have been the same for a few months now. We were there in November. Masks indoors only and rides that go indoors. CM at ride entrances will tell you when you need to put them on. For instance, at 7 Dwarfs Mine Train, the CM at the line entrance tells you to put your mask on as you enter the building. We left our masks off during the outdoor winding line, then put them on as we entered the building. Rodes that were completely outside like Jungle Cruise and Safari did not require a mask.

There is no social distancing.

Plexiglass and vinyl dividers have been removed from ride vehicles like Frozen and Mickey and Minnie's .

Expect restaurants to be at full capacity. I don't know if they are, but people were seated at tables right next to us.

The place I found mask enforcement to be most strict was on busses. Drivers reminded people getting on and handed paper masks to folks who couldn't find theirs. I admit I needed reminding a couple times. It was easy to forget when you are taking it off and on so much.

We were just there and even though there are notes right outside and in the restrooms saying to wear masks I saw a lot of people did not comply and nothing was said by anyone who came in to clean. For buses and Skyliner they were very strict about it. For the rides it depended on the ride and CMs working it some people had masks below their nose or chin and nothing was said other times something was. I do not remember in stores seeing anyone not wearing one. In restaurants we thought you had to wear them except for when actively eating so we kept them on until our food came except to quickly take off and put back on when we took sips of our drinks but a lot of people as soon as they got to their table took them off. The many TS we had lunches or dinners seemed very full as usual when we visit every few years around this time period. Breakfast we mostly ate at the food court but had a few early TS ones and even before COVID we would have the first ADR time of the day and was never very crowded. We were not concerned at all had an amazing trip.

That's what we found in October as well. A few of the queues still had the plexiglass dividers up, but many had been taken down from our April trip.

Masks are required indoors, on completely or partially indoor rides, and on indoor transportation. I have had mixed results on the open air boats around 7 Seas Lagoon, with some captains saying we don't need masks.

Masks are required for indoor queues but not outdoor ones. The lines are not distanced any more.

Restaurants can vary. Some of them have fewer tables, some of them have partitions between tables, and some are at fully capacity with no changes. Places that used to have larger communal tables have now split them up. The rule at restaurants is you are required to wear your mask whenever not actively eating or drinking, although almost everyone keeps them off during the entire meal. You need to wear a mask if you leave your table.

I recommend a mask lanyard for your trip. We use them, and with taking masks in and off a lot it is a HUGE convenience to just have it hanging on my lanyard (plus doesn't get gross being stuffed in a pocket. Ours were super inexpensive on Amazon. A pack if 10 was like $8.

Do you wear them on all rides or just indoor rides? We aren’t going until March, but this thread made me think about it. So tower or terror and rockin rollercoaster are inside so I’d assume you wear them there. Slinky is outside so you wouldn’t have to on the ride or do you? And what about something like splash mountain that has some parts enclosed and some in the open? Thanks for the replies in advance.

They are required on indoor rides and indoor/outdoor rides. Splash Mountain and People Mover in particular were enforcing masks, since many people wanted to take them off.
