Hi Everyone, My nephew will be returning from Japan early 2017 and we are trying to find out the current cost of the Military park hoppers for Disneyland. And how many days can you get on a military ticket.

Also can anyone recommend a decent hotel that offers really good military discounts.

Thanks so much for your help.

$143 for a 3 day hopper. That is the only option. Military base ticket offices sell slightly discounted tickets from 1-5 days. Nothing beats the three day Armed Forces Salute tickets.

The Disney hotels offer discounted rooms up to 40% off.

We've tried to get onsite rooms for military rates, and they seem to almost always be $250+/night (quoted $550/night once as the only available option for military discount rate, which meant Paradise Pier was more expensive than Grand Californian, lol!)... We stay across the street at Tropicana for under $150/night (usually $118) or Park Vue for $150-200 with military discount.

I booked PPH at 40% off At $275/n for 8 days. I had previously booked Castle Inn for $137/n (with taxes) military rate and Del Sol for $101/n. I booked 4 1/2 months in advance.

Love the Salute tickets. It's the only reason I can splurge on PPH- We are a family of 2 so I'm buying 6 tickets and we will be in the park all 9 days of our trip.:yay:

Which is now 20 days away!!! :hourglass

Have a great time planning.

We just returned from a 5 day/4 night trip to Anaheim last week. We paid $140 each for (5) 3 day PHs. Note that you do not get a Magic Morning at DL with these! Your nephew is limited to purchasing 6 tickets, and must be present at entry the first day the family uses the tickets. Ticket prices do vary ($140-143) depending on which base you purchase them at. We live in a town with multiple bases, and prices listed were not the same everywhere.

I've also stayed at the Tropicana using military discount. Check their website for pricing using the discount.

Be advised: the current Salute the Troops 3-day park hopper at $143 is only through December 19, 2016. Disney has not stated if they will extend the offer into 2017. Each year we wait to see if Disney will renew it. If they do, and it seems likely, there will probably be a price increase. 2015 was $132; 2016 was $143; who knows what 2017 will be.
