Current Bounceback Question

Just thinking ahead in case we receive a bounceback offer (trip is at end of April). For anyone who is recently back, can you tell me the dates of the current bounceback? Dates for this year available or next? both?

We are going in mid-May and I too have been wondering if there is a current bounceback being offered. I haven't seen anyone mention on recently and mousesavers.com isn't showing a current one either. I'm hoping that there is one or that there will be one available by mid-May.

We were there in Feb. and booked the bounceback which was room only discounts of 30/35/40% off various dates through Dec 24. There was no flyer in the room. Before going we received an email from WDW asking if we wanted to continue to receive special offers while at WDW. I just let my emails continue. Well, on the 4th day of stay an email for the bounceback came. You have to have access to email while there and still book while there. Ext 8844, code OKR. Also, the CM on the phone (even though we dialed the ext. from our room) wanted the current res. number to do the booking. I would just call and see if you don't have anything in your room.

Sounds great, but kind of unfair. I don't have a laptop and won't have access to my email while in WDW.

the flyer is normally on the table if there isn't just call the front desk and they will get you one right away.

Yep.

There probably won't be any 2011 dates to choose from on a BB offer until Free Dining starts in August, and then it will be a FD BB to be able to book another Free Dining package for the certain Free Dining dates in 2011. That FD BB usually runs to resort guests staying August-October, and then it will expire and a room discount BB will then open that will have some 2011 dates to choose from. So to get any 2011 dates in a BB, you will probably have to go during the Free Dining dates, or after. Maybe another trip down then?

All this is based on previous years though, and of course could be way different this year....

FYI - if you don't see a flyer and the front desk or housekeeping can't help, call extension 8844 from your resort room before you check out to see what BB is being offered while you are there.

The trend seems to be that the bounceback is usually for the current year. Especially the bounceback that is offered during the first 6 months of the current year.

Later in the year (after August) then the dates may go into 2011 like what they did for free dining last year.

and...just to clarify...bounceback offer is room only? as in, i would receive 40% off my room at the Poly but not tickets etc? or MUST i book a package?

Don't even bother calling or going to the front desk if you don't see the offer in your room. Just call the 8844 extension. That is how you have to book a bb.

Thanks for the info. I too intend to BB and was wondering if you had to come back the exact time of year. Nice to know that I would be able to change the dates for our 2011 trip. You guys rock!

Can you book it for one of the current dates in 2010 & then call back to change the dates to sometime in 2011? DH & I are headed down in June but the next time we want to take the kids is early December of 2011. Would like to use BB but know we won't go again till 2011.

Sometimes they ask for a code that is on the flyer. You can also get them from housekeepers they are the ones that leave them in the rooms. You have the right extension to call but some CM ask for the code on the flyer along with your ressies that you are there on. MHO. This what they asked this past Dec when I booked mine. No worries
