Current Bounceback Offers?

My question would kind of tie in to what the previous poster said. I usually travel solo in the fall, and so a substantial room discount is a better deal for me than rack rate with free dining. Are there any bounceback offers on or expected to be offered in September 2008 for room only discounts? My room at VWL for September I got at a great bounceback rate last January. I'm also going next January, so I know I may have to wait until then for a great room only bounceback, but I thought someone in the know could give me up to date info. I'd really like to book a couple bouncebacks - one for April after Easter and one for September, so if I could do one now and one later, that would be perfect!

You have to book the package and leave a $200 deposit before checking out (which must be on or before October 24,2008) - so it will still be going on when you are there October 11-17

Sorry, jmo but I doubt it - I think the Free Dining BB for 2009 will be the only BB offered to guests until that offer expires on October 24.

Of course you never know! Based on marketing, so maybe they will open another offer

I also think the BB that comes out after the FD BB ends will have both next January, April and September dates on it though - you just might have to make another trip to be able to book all your next stays at once

Then the price is cheaper. Dont even look at the per person per day prices. Just price out the package you want without dining and youll get dining for free

I called today since I booked our package on tuesday but can still change it and the thing with those two vacation villas is you will receive a double discount, 30% off rate and the free dining plan. However the rooms are not released yet so you need to book another room and keep checking for their availability. On thiis plan you can always add days, remove days, upgrade resorts, etc. So just make sure you get a room booked while you are there. Just for an idea on price, I believe a studio at OKW is 285 so you would get 30% off of that rate.

I don't understand this ... they are not actually accepting reservations for OKW and SSR right now? What does it mean that "the rooms are not released yet"? This deal isn't part of the current BB after all? Help.

We were going to try to book a 2 bedroom (and I am not sure that is possible anyway but I have bothered mbanks enough with questions so never asked!) but I can't deal with the hassle of calling back all the time - defeats the purpose of booking the BB while we are there.

Im not bugged at all. DVC members get first crack at the DVC resorts (OKW, SS, BCV, BWV, etc) and theyre not released for the general public until something like 6-8 months from the date. Youre best bet is to book another resort and call back later to change it to the OKW or SS. I know its dumb but thats the way it works...

Yes its the basic plan and not the counter service. Numerous people have booked it already

Question!!!! We will be arriving October 13th, does this mean we can book the bounceback for next year? I am staying at OKW on rented points this year will this affect me being able to book bounceback because I am at a DVC resort??

Yes you can, but you must call extension 8844 from your hotel/villa resort room before you check out this October.
The current free dining bounce back is for 8/23/2009 to 10/1/2009.
There is another one from 10/2/2009 to 10/8/2009

So, just because it's early and my brain's a little foggy, what you're saying is that if I'm staying on property after October 24th, there may be a BB for room only for dates in 2009? Or do you think that once the free dining period for 2008 ends, they might come up with an overlapping offer?

OK, now it's late and my brain's a little foggy too (and of course I could be/probably am way off) but I don't think there will be any overlapping offer.

I think they will offer the Free Dining BB *only* for booking until October 24, and then I don't know when they will start another BB that includes December and 2009 dates.

Last year the FD BB offer was open for booking until October 12 (2007) and then the next room discount BB started around October 23 (2007) , so I don't know if they'll start another BB immediately or wait 11 days or so in between BB's this year too

Personally, I think they should have a continuous BB offer because people really like them and want to book them. I guess the marketing mice have it all figured out though.

Well, the free dining definitely doesn't do me as much good, since many of my trips are solo, so I'll just keep watching for a room only bounceback, and then book a nice relaxing weekend to take advantage of it.

can someone clarify for me? If I book when we are there next month I know I can book the free dining, but if I check in on say October 7th and stay for 6 nights would I get free dining for the whole time or would it just be for the two days until the offer ends on the 8th? I know that they changed the room rates and charge you each day versus the old way of checking in the last day of value season and paying that rate for your length of stay and I wasn't sure if this applied to the package or not. Am I making any sense? Thanks for anyone who understands and can answer my question!!

As long as you check in for free dining by Oct 8 you will have free dining for your entire trip

Not generally. Disney has a very lenient hurricane change/cancellation policy. Its a good idea to have though for your airline tickets as well as trip delay reimbursement
