I know I like it and my fiancee to be likes it but I am curious what you guys think of this setting. I will possibly be making a few alterations and using this only as inspiration but I'm curious what you guys thing of the design. Be honest!

In case you can't tell, the channel set diamonds go continuously underneath the center stone.

That's the same ring I have!!!!!!! I love it and get many many compliments on it!!! Plus, it's very sparkly all the time! Even when I haven't just cleaned it!!! The only problem you might have is if you need to get it resized. I went from a 6 to a 4 1/2. The jeweler said any more and it wouldn't have worked with the way channel set is. So go with your instincts on size! My DF wanted to order a 5 thinking it would be too big but the jeweler wouldn't let him and ordered a 6.

This is also my setting! (So much for having an original!) but I absolutely love the ring, it's so sparkly and different, and I absolutely LOVE the princess cut. I also get a lot of compliments! :)

To those of you who said you have this, where did you get it from? I have only seen this setting in two different places and they are ever so slightly different.

Well, not knowing you or your soon-to-be fiancee, it's gorgeous! But knowing my personality it's not me, despite it being GOREGEOUS! It all depends on who's buying, and who's receiving. It needs to fit both of your needs/wants.

I'm sure she'd be thrilled to receive it!

:) ITA - I like it. I have just a simple solitaire, but I would have gladly had one like this!

My DF bought this ring for me at Littman Jewelers, which is connected to Fred Meyers Jewelry, so that makes a lot of sense :) I helped him pick it out. I wanted a Princess Cut solitare, but when I saw this ring I was in love. It's just so pretty.

My two cents even though I'm new here :flower3: First of all, congratulations!

Ok, I have a ring with those square cut lined up in a row diamonds and I hate that part of my ring because the square diamonds are really dingy/dirty looking VERY fast.

The ring shown here is a beautiful ring BUT for me... I would never get those little square diamonds again. I'm sure many will say their's were fine but mine have been a pain in my patoot. :rolleyes1

Don't get me wrong, I love my ring... just saying that those square ones get dirty and STAY dirty... at least on mine :) They have a constant grey dinge compared to the brilliant sparkle of my larger round and my tiny small rounds.

Have fun planning!

Melissa

Sorry pics are so big... I thought it would be better to show the detail.

I love that ring! Very pretty!

I have channel set princess in my Ering and band...for the poster that mentioned that the side stones get dirty...have you brought it back for a prefessional cleaning? Or what I do is, mix some water, windex and a drop of dish soap, heat it in the microwave a bit, put the ring in, let it soak for about 10 min, gently scrub it with a soft toothbrush, rinse really good and dry.

My jeweler said this is a perfect way of cleaning at home but also recommends a prong check and cleaning at least every 6 months...but prefers every 3.

Wow, that ring is BEAUTIFUL! I LOVE it!

As for the PP who said that her diamonds get dirty and look bad-so do mine. I have bagette diamonds in my band, and no matter how much I clean them, they always go back to looking dull and dirty a day or so after I clean them! I do love my ring, but hate the fact that it doesn't sparkle!

Yup, I clean at home and with the professionals. The dinge is a 2 day later problem... very frequent.

But anyway, thanks for that cleaning solution recipe.. I'm going to try that.. especially now since the jewler that I bought the ring from went out of buisness :headache:

So much for my free cleanings everytime I'm at the mall.

I don't have a problem with the dingy stones unless I haven't cleaned it in a while. I clean everytime I'm at the mall- which isn't very often and at home every once in a while. But, I work in the food industry and wash my hands a lot and my hands get dirty so I may not be the average user.
