Curious. What is your home resort, how many points, and why....

We have 200 AKV pts and 160 BLT pts. My DS picked AKV as a graduation gift June 2008 but was only 17 so it went into my name. He gets it in his name when he is donw with college and has a steady job to cover the MF's. He picked AKV because AK is his favorite park and he loves the animals the warm homey feel of the resort. The BLT points are for DD, 3, as she is totally in love with MK and will be for quite awhile. The idea of being able to walk home from MK is enough to sell us on BLT. Typically I would have gone for WLV because I love the atmosphere it provides but I can't get past it's expiration date of 2042 for DD. She will only be in her 30's when it expires and I want her to have more time with her DVC.

My home resorts are: OKW, VB, HH, BWV, VWL, BCV, SSR, AKV, BLT, and VGC, for a total of just under 1000 points.

I have small point contracts at a few of the resorts like VB, HH, AKV, and VGC, and use banking/borowing to go to those only every other year. The rest I pretty much go to every year.

My Home resort is AKV...
The very first time I was there...it just felt like home.
I just LOVE it there.

We bought 180 points about enough for a 1 bedroom for a week every year
and plan to add on another 100 points when the first contract is paid off.
Then we will have enough for a 2 bedroom for a week every year.

SSR 220 points. We bought there because that was what they were selling at the time. We have added 250 points since then. So we now have a total of 470.

Update just bought 200 at GCV now have a total of 670

We have 160 points at AKV, mainly because we really like the savannah views and the dining there. We're planning on eventually adding on, probably at BCV since we really like attending the Food & Wine festival and it's almost impossible to get a villa near Epcot at the 7 month window with our AKV points. Eventually we're planning on giving our DS and DD the contracts so we'l probably try and add on another 160 when we do the add-on.

Eventually I'd also like to add on some points at HHI so that we could get a villa there during the summer.
