That was my sons K-9 dog. He's an MP in the Army. I can never remember what kind of shepard she was. I think Belgian. She unfortunately got very ill and died while being medivaced out of Iraq. Very heartbreaking.

She looks like a malinois (Belgian shepherd) which is why I remembered her story so vividly. My ex is a K9 cop and he had a malinois as his K9 and one of our family dog's was a malinois/German shepherd mix. You don't see them very often but they are wonderful dogs. When I heard the story, I could picture one of our own dogs so it made it personal to me.

For someone who has just a passing aquaintance with me that's pretty darn good

Never mind me and my "nobody wants to get to know me" attitude. I've just been feeling invisible lately. It's one of those times where you post and it seems no one answers or comments on your posts for weeks. After I started a thread about a particular subject and got minimal response someone else came along, started a thread about the same thing a day later and it's at least 12 pages I know I shouldn't take these things personally because 99 times out of 100 they aren't. It happens to all of us at times but I'm a bit sensitive You can add that to the list too That's a whole other thread but I'll bet nobody knew that about me
