Curious - Do they 'release' new reservations daily?

I was shocked when I was able to reserve 2 tables of 4 at BOG at 4:30 on the third day into our trip. I made the reservation online on day 180. So that made me wonder, do you think they 'hold' some reservations and release them daily?

Possibly. No way to know. People do cancel.

I was just completely shocked to be able to book a table on my 3rd try today! Don't understand the system...

People cancel all the time. In the past, we have made reservations and then changed them a few days later and cancelled the ones we don't need. People change their plans all the time.
