CUrbside Luggage dropoff

We usually, when returning home from MCO, pull up to curbside to drop off luggage and then return the rental car.

I just noticed that most airports need boarding passes, not just the piece of paper that you get from your printer via e-tickets. I realize that I'll have to stand in line or go to the Kiosk to get my boarding passes, but can I still check the luggage at the curb, prior to having the boarding pass??

If not, can I get my boarding passes when I arrive at MCO at the start of my vacation?

You can check in at the curb and receive boarding passes. No need to visit the ticket counter inside. Just check in the luggage, show your ID, receive your boarding passes. Don't forget to tip the skycap.

Great I was hoping that the skycaps would issue boarding passes, but I wasn't sure....We haven't flown in 2 years.

I sure would have missed dropping the bags and then returning the rental car...It makes moving through the airport so much easier, not to have to lug the luggage....

Yes, I agree, don't forget to tip the skycaps....It's a great service to be able to drop and go......We always tip, and probably more than we should....I want to make sure our bags get where they're supposed to.

stupid question as I have never done curb side before - what is an appropriate tip for the sky cap?

$1-2 a bag. It depends for me whether they take it out of the trunk. Also if I am taking a larger suitcase I tip more.

We tip $1 per bag or $5 min.

Do they let you leave the car unattended while you are in line to check in at the curb? I thought you had to stay with the car?

I am right there near the car and haven't had any problems in all the times I have checked in curbside.

It is only me.
