cupcake birthday cake?

I was curious if anyone has ordered the cupcakes that look like a big birthday cake. (You just pull the cupcakes apart) If so where did you order it from and how was it?

We have ordered them at home for Birthdays many times, we have gotten them at our local bakery and at our Super Walmart before. We usually get the whipped cream frosting. If you are talking at WDW I have not and didn't know they offer them. We have also made our birthday cakes at home with cupcakes many times too, saves alot and its fun too!

We just got one last month. It was from Farm Fresh the grocery store here. It was nice I just gave each kid a cupcake no cutting needed. It looked like a cake till you got close it was neat.

We got one in Feb. for my son's birthday party(from walmart) at a local bowling alley I didn't serve ice cream so this made it so easy I didn't need a knife or forks for the cake we just pulled it apart and served it and everyone really enjoyed it. No mess and no stress for me.

ETA: we had ours half yellow and half chocolate too and you couldn't tell what kind they where until you started pulling them out. I would definitely do this again it was so easy.

We ordered one from Wal-Mart for my son's birthday last fall. It was great. Not cutting, no mess and each child got their cupcake quickly. I am planning on doing it again for his next birthday!

We have ordered them many times and love them. They have been some of our cutest and easiest cakes. We have had them shaped in a luau monkey, a giant strawberry ice cream cone, a monster truck, and a frog. We have always ordered them from our local bakery with butter cream icing! Yum!

We just had one on Monday for my dd's birthday - we ordered it from our local supermarket. Love them!

The ones from Walmart ae great. They will make them with any of the decorations that they do on big cakes....and they are yummy!

I love the books they have to look at at the grocery store bakeries, i will usually cruise the cake book and then think about how i could build my party around that theme, you may be able to take a look and see what they have for boy and girl, my walmart had some really cute mickey clubhouse cakes you could do as a cupcake cake that may work for either one.

Hi Court! L & M has them and we always get them for the birthdays. We have had High School Musical, gymnastics themed, race car themed, etc. They are so convenient. I also think my sister has gotten them from Shop Rite...not sure if the Delran Shop Rite has them though. Wish I could find pics to show you...if I find some, I'll send them to you!

Hey Kim, Thanks for the info and I love your picture you have up. We have a long way to really worry about these birthdays but I like to plan waaaaaaaaaaayyyy early.

those are so ridiculously adorable! not at all like what i had envisioned and seriously cuter than any of the regular cakes i have seen in our local bakeries... i am definitely going to see if i can find someplace near me to do this... brilliant!!!
