Cumbrian Lakes?

Can anyone tell me about the homes there? We're looking for a 4bd home for December and they seem to be more reasonable than WH. We've never stayed in a home....only onsite. Any advice? Any specific homes/owners you'd recommend?? Thanks!!

Suggestions for other homes welcome too!! It's so overwhelming!

Have stayed at Cumbrian Lakes twice and will be going back in September to the same wonderful 6 bed home. We rent through Florida Leisure and we've always had a great time.

Cumbrian Lakes is a gated community and has about 200 homes...so not too big. It's also very peaceful, has a walking track around a lovely lake and we often see eagles, deer, aligators and may different types of birds which give it a tranquil feel.

The community also has a playground which is monitored by CCTV so you can watch the kids and family from your home if it has internet access. The play area also has soccer goals.

The other thing I've noticed is that virtually every home has a lake view or a conservation view... so that makes it different. Also, it's about 10-15 mins from Disney depending on traffic and last time we were there they were making Poinciana Blvd into a two lane road so that will make it quicker. Hopefully that roadwork will be completed by the time we visit again. It may already be.

You also asked about Sunset Lakes and we've stayed there as well. It's a gated community and a little smaller than Cumbrian Lakes. It's very tranquil and we enjoyed the house we had there.

The community has two lakes and is about 5 mins from Animal Kingdom. Having stayed on both sides of Disney, we now prefer the east side because it's a little easier to get to other parts of Orlando. There's really not much in it though.
