CTV Travel Channel

Just got CTV Travel channel. We used to have the US Travel channel on our previous satellite and saw WDW programs all the time. I saw the post about the Disney special that will be on on Oct 16, but does this channel run all the Disney programs - the ones about the different resorts and such? I haven't come across any yet

CTV Travel is p art of my Illico package and has been for over two years. Unfortunately, they are nowhere near as good as Travel Channel US in regards to Disney themed programming. I check up on their grid quite often and the only thing I have seen so far is Great Hotels: Animal Kingdom Lodge.

I have managed to download a few Disney themed shows that originally aired on Travel Channel US and would be curious to see if anyone else had done this. perhaps we could set up a trade?

Also a heads up: there is a terrific episode of Into The Fire on Food Network Canada that was dedicated to the food of Disneyland & CGA. Look for a rerun soon...

yep I agree with the previous post. The only shows about disney I've come to see so far on ctv travel are Discover World: Orlando, Florida; Great Hotels: Animal Kingdom's Lodge; World Best: top 10 seas cruises (disney cruise). Too bad we Canadians can't get us travel channel.

If you want the US shows you should look at getting an FTA sat system it will pick up the channels you want and they are cheap now.

As far as downloading is confirmed, I found a few on a peer to peer platform called edonkey.

FTA is called Free To Air it allows you to harness any sat signals in the air unlike a hacked Dishnet system r the old Direc TV systems this one uses a different type of programming that allows it to capture signals from all over the world. If you used Direc TV previously or Dishnet talk to the people you got it from I am sure they know about FTA.

When we got Bell Expressvu I made sure I got the travel channel because it was one of the main reasons we got satellite. My mom has American Direct TV and TIVO so I would see all the great shows she got - Disney and others. I am very disappointed with the Canadian Travel Channel.

I have heard that TIVO is a paid for feature unlike the PVR we have up here is this true? For info on FTA sattelite stuff go to www.al7bar.tk they have all the different recievers and info and you can purchase rigeht on line.
