CttM Pop Ups

Has anyone else been having a problem with getting a million pop up ads when you do the daily clicks on CttM? It's been horrible. I don't ever remember getting this many pop ups before. I tried to email Bonnie about it, but when I clicked on the "Submit" button for the email, I got an error message, so I don't know if it went through.

Yes, me too...not "regular" popups either, but the ones asking you to download something or other that I have to click on to close out. The "regular" ones get blocked by my popup blocker, these ones don't.

Nobody else? Today makes two days in a row that McAfee has picked up a Trojan after I visited CTTM.

I apologize for this, I will get these taken care of. I do not like sites that give trojans and have stopped several myself as a result.

So it isn't just us then? There were no replies so I thought maybe it was an isolated thing... I'm not terribly computer savvy, but I wasn't getting them while on any other site. We're so lucky to have you taking care of everything!

That was the first time I heard of it myself, about the popups, but I draw the line at trojans. I just got my laptop back from repair (hardware issue) but my other pc is wrecked due to a virus or malware. I am more than not happy about it, as it affects my work.
I apologize if I haven't gotten back to anyone, but I'm in the process of transferring everything over to my laptop so I can wipe out my bugs and start fresh and get back on track!

how can you tell if you have a trojan?

Im terrible with computers other then mindlessly clicking on sites
to use on my dis trips

just because I've done the site does that mean I'll get a trojan?thanks for any and all advice

I'm not sure. McAfee tells me automatically and then removes it or whatever. I've only gotten that message three times in the past couple of years and two of them were just in the past couple of days while doing CTTM!

I don't know enough about it to really offer any advice. I'm sure you have some kind of anti-virus sofware right? If so I would think yours would detect it since mine did.

I'm using AVG and whenever it finds something on my pc, my whole monitor goes RED and asks me if I want to remove or heal or leave it. That's using Windows Me. With XP, I just get a dialog box that tells me where the virus is and to remove it.
