CT Disney Outlet store!!

I know I read on the community board that there is a Disney Discount store in NY. Somewhere over the CT border, not to far from Danbury. Anyone else remember reading it?

Hey,

If anybody should go to the store soon, can you ask what other states they are in and where? Would love to find one a little closer to me here in NJ.

Disney's Character Corner
Clinton Crossing Premium Outlets - Clinton, CT (Connecticut Shoreline)
North Georgia Premium Outlets - Dawsonville, GA (Atlanta area)
Woodbury Common Premium Outlets - Central Valley, NY (NYC area)

Tox,

Don't I know you from TUG...lol!! You live in the town where I grew up, right?

Would love to trade with you sometime!!

I haven't been to the one in Woodbury Commons in NY for about a month and a half.

From what you've said, it looks like they've gotten some new holiday merchandise. That's great news.

For the longest time, they didn't seem to get anything new in. What they did was offer price specials on different items.

And, at Woodbury, there's also a great Hard Rock outlet store.

(I'll keep an eye on the Clinton meet. Just maybe.......................)

What town is Woodbury Commons in? It sounds so familiar...(okay, if the town is called Woodbury then sorry for being so dense!). And if the town is called Woodbury too, where is it...in Rockland County?

Thanks!

Sharon,

Yes that's me from your old hometown. My daugher is in 11th grade at MHS. I looked for you at the NY pin trading but it sounded like you were busy with your daughter around then. Glad things are working out.

Woodbury Common is at Exit 16 of the New York State Thruway, right where it joins up with Route 17. It's just north of the Sloatsburg rest stop on the Thruway if you know where that is. I'm a little hazy on CT geography, but if you can get over the Hudson anywhere north of the Tappan Zee (for example the Bear Mountain Bridge or other bridges if there are any others), you're not too far away. The Tappan Zee would be pretty far south for you to have to travel down to only to only to go back up North about 35 minutes or so. The CT store may be closer to you, depending upon where you are, but it's certainly a do-able trip if we were all meeting up there.

P.S. I couldn't believe it when, I saw you on this board so soon after your initial questions about pin trading on TUG. (As I recall, I think I warned you on that thread that it was addictive.) You sure jumped into this in a big way! :)

Lol...yeah, tell me about it!! Actually, my kids are so into it which really makes it extra rewarding. My son just completed his first trade on the Dizkids board!

I think there may be an easier way for me to head to upstate NY from here. For instance, my best friend lives near Armonk, and I take the Saw Mill down. I remember it taking 45 minutes to get to Poughkeepse, going through back roads rather than all the way down to the Tappan Zee and back up again, so I will have to investigate.

I'm hoping there is another NYC pin meet soon because we wished we could have gone! (Actually, my son was playing in a chess tournament that day.)

P.S. My brother just played a hockey game with the MHS Alumni hockey team (he played on the team while there). He graduated high school in 1986. He owns the Cosi shops, one of which is in Larchmont and another in New Rochelle.

From Fairfield County, you'd probably do best by taking 84 West to the NYS Thruway south. Once you get on the Thruway from 84, it's one exit away. (It's about a 15 - 20 minute drive between the exits.)

It's the "Harriman" exit. When you get off, you can't miss the outlet center. It's on the right.

I just came back from the Wrentham Village Premium Outlets to check out the new Disney Outlet Store. It isn't open yet. There is a sign that says Disney's Character Corner coming soon (no date). Hope this saves someone a trip.

Well......I didn't see your post before I went today!!
I was going there anyway but I was disappointed that it wasn't opened yet.

Next time.....I'll do some damage! :smooth:
