CSR's New Rooms

What are your thought if CSR's newly refurbished rooms? In pics they look too plain. My sister is coming with us next summer and this will be their first time. I'm so excited for them, but don't want them being disappointed with the room. Should I try a more themed room like AoA?

Just got back today from a stay at CSR in one of the new rooms and we all really liked it. I like the clean/sleek design and all the storage space/shelves. I can see how some would prefer more theming - the POR Royal rooms really fit that bill very well.

Over theming equals values in my mind. Big bold in your face type theming. Mods are less, and the themes seem to flow thru the resort POFQ and POR come to mind, and deluxe properties... seem a bit more refined to me, lovely!
I usually suggest a moderate to first time visitors, when asked. It's the total disney immersion without the higher priced ( yet better amenity) deluxes. We avoid convention hotels tho as a last choice, we ve done that too. The only value I utilize (for an early arrival) is pop, otherwise we avoid them... though many enjoy them I find them too packed with too many kiddos and too limited on amenities and comfort and the theming is just so over the top .. great for kids, but adult only trips, eh.
As far as theming, yes the Royal room was quite themed and POR is a beautiful resort. But those rooms are not in the best location and I personally will only stay at that( Very large) property in a preferred building.
Overall, it seems Disney seems to be Undermaking the rooms of late with each subsequent update... plain beiges, removing much of the flair etc. an entire thread discusses that.

perhaps re -look at the mods available...try not to overthink ur choice n just go with the flow?? hopefully others that have stayed there recently will chime in
