CSR vs OKW

We're vacillating on our hotel choices once again. I thought we'd settled on 2 rooms at CSR, but DH got his hot little hands on the WDW DVD and started looking at OKW. He loves the look of the place, both in the theming and the golf course views. My main concern is the size of the resort, since we won't have a car, and travel time to the parks, since I've read very mixed reviews of the bus service there, but it would be nice to have a villa rather than 2 rooms.

So, tell me about OKW. How is the bus service to the parks? The walk/boat to DTD? Best things about it?

Never stayed at OKW but CSR has double beds, a great pool and awesome transportation.

We are OKW owner The best thing for us is the unit size, they are huge. Now on with the show..........
2. Full size, equipped kitchen.
3. Full size washer & dryer.
4. Private balcony.
5. Separate sink/tub area from shower/sink/tiolet. We are able to all get ready without fighting for space.
6. Parking in front of unit-LOVE it!
7. Adequate bus service when we use it, most of time hop in the car & drive.
8. New slide & pool.
9. Awesome views.
10. Boat to DTD.
Yes, I am partial. We've stay at WL, never again. Felt as if our neighbors were right on top of us. Also BW, that has a "hotel" feel for us. I must warn you though, if you go for it you will probably end up very spoiled.

Forgot to add, if you do go with OKW at checkin-DO NOT get a room by the bus turn arounds, they can be rather loud.

We LOVE OKW!!! It is absolutely gorgeous, relaxing and wonderful!! The rooms are huge and staff delightful!! OKW for sure

I have stayed at OKW twice in a 2 bdrm villa and loved it both times. I would pick a villa over 2 standard rooms anytime. We never had a problem with the bus service. We liked the boat to DTD and the kids enjoyed the pools. We liked the overall themeing and laid back atmosphere of OKW. We just got back from WDW last night and while there we checked out CSR because my DD's dance team will be staying there next June. It was nice, but I would do OKW in a heartbeat over CSR.

I'd pick a villa over 2 rooms as well, no doubt.

Old Key West is a deluxe type resort, Coronado is a moderate (a very nice one, but they are in a different class from each other).

Thank you all! Good to hear positive reviews of the bus service, since that was my main concern. OKW certainly looks lovely, and the kids will love that sandcastle slide!

Another question - which golf course is it that OKW overlooks? DH is hoping to fit in a round of Disney golf this trip.

That's the Lake Buena Vista Golf course. The clubhouse is at Saratoga Springs. We just spent a week at OKW in Feb and absolutely loved it!
