I'm currently booked in December at Coronado with BB for free dining. The trip will just be my husband and I (we are both in our 30's). I love Disney and have been many times and he likes Disney because I do. I mean he has fun when we are there but he doesn't get the magic. Anyways, I booked us at Coronado and I have never stayed there before. My mom and I always stay at CBR when we go together. I love CBR and am concerned that I made mistake picking CSR. So can anyone tell me the pros of cons of picking CSR over CBR.

Thanks.

Though we've been staying at BLT as of late, my family absolutely loves CSR! The rooms are, in my opinion, really nice and many people (myself included) refer to it as a Deluxe Lite resort. The resort itself is large, as is CBR, but we always requested Ranchos, the furthest section, and it never took us longer than 8-10 minutes to walk to the main building.

I stayed at CSR very recently and did not like it. My room was dirty and worn out. I kept finding long black hairs all over. It seemed like the room got a quick once over and not an actual clean. My room was a bit of a hike to the bus stop, which was a little frustrating in the rain. The buses also do four stops on property before heading to a park, so if you're on the first stop (which I was), it'd be about 20 or more minutes before the bus even left CSR and headed to a park, so I had to really factor that in if I had any scheduled stuff that was time sensitive. I had some other issues while there that were small, but all added up to frustration. It's the first time I've written a letter to complain about the room.

We have never stayed at CBR but have stayed at CSR. We really liked it. We typically stay at the deluxe resorts but wouldn't hesitate to return to CSR. We were in the Casitas section and found it very easy to take the bus from the room. We loved walking around the resort-really liked the landscaping in each of the areas. My kids (they are college aged) liked the the food court. We found the room to be in good condition and liked the sliding doors that separated the bathroom area from the beds-let more that one person get ready at a time. I fully expect that we will stay there again.

We've stayed at both, I like CBR better. That being said, I didn't dislike CSR- just liked CBR better. The only thing I didn't like was pepper market( selection was very limited compared to CBR). I will say that CSR had a more adult feel and seemed quieter in the main areas. Give it a try, you will never know unless you try it. I'm sure you won't hate it. If you want the beachy feel, request the cabanas section. We had a nice beach view.

I've stayed at both CBR and CSR, and prefer CSR. CBR is great too, but IMO CSR has a better balance of Disney + relaxation.

CSR has more amenities than any other mod...more eateries and bars/lounge, a gym, spa, and lap pool. It also has a very central location, so the busing tends to be better. And CSR and CBR both have the same upgraded mattresses, so you should have a great night sleep.

CSR is our favorite moderate and CBR is our least favorite, but everyone has differing opinions.

Based on what you say -
Free Dining - CSR has more dining options than any other moderate and many other hotels period. On DDP, it's a great choice of hotel.
Adults - CSR is VERY adult friendly from amenities, to dining, to the beauty of the resort day or night.
Transportation - CSR has some of the best transportation on property compared to CBR that usually comes with many complaints.

CBR is the largest (spread out) moderate resort.
CSR is the third largest moderate resort (so smaller).

CBR rooms have recently been renovated.
CSR is getting ready to start a renovation so by next December MAY have a good bit done.

CBR is one theme and CSR had three themes that come with different imagineering; beaches and hammocks to dessert landscaping to city buildings and fountains.

I've stayed at both and prefer Coronado. Coronado has a convention section to the hotel so it is great for couples. Bar is nice, and I like the food options much more than at Carribean. The bus rides to the park are shorter, and things don't seem as spread out. It also has a little fitness area. I went into Coronado with low expectations and was blown away with how much we loved it.

Thanks everyone. I had heard it was a good hotel for adults, which is why I initially chose it. I can't remember what the price difference was but I remember it being very very minimal. Hopefully there won't be too much construction going on when we go. Either way, I'm sure we will have a great trip. Now if only we could fly through 2017...I want to be in WDW now lol
