Can anyone tell me the last time the Coronado Springs Resort has been updated? If you had to choose between CSR or Port Orleans which is the better resort?

We choose CSR resort over Port Orleans simply because the buses have always been less crowded for us and the CSR bus stops are often closer to the park entrances then PO. ( at the Magic Kingdom and MGM ~it is the first bus stop you approach when leaving the parks):goodvibes
That being said though both resorts are nice!

I choose CSR because I prefer the theme. It's so pretty! But I don't know when the rooms were last updated.

Aside from theme, the moderate resorts just aren't that different. They all have good and bad points, but they're very similar. Pick the theme you like best and go with that. :)

CSR was rehabbed in late 2004 and early 2005. I would choose CSR! Check out my CSR website below for pics and info.

CSR is updated more often than the other mods because they cater to the convention crowd. We found it amazing both times we stayed there. A big selling point for us was the central AC (thermostat in each room) as opposed to a window unit. Buses were rarely crowded.

Trust me after my experience at POR--I would pick CSR anytime!

Buzz2001, I get so confused about the interior of the rooms at CSR. I have seen different interior pictures. Is your picture of the interior of a Cabanas room what all the rooms look like now?

Much thanks!

All the rooms have/use the same bedspread now. The only differences are the headboard, armoire, boarder, curtains, and pictures.

I stayed at CSR this past weekend and loved it!! Definately will be staying there next time.

We have stayed at both resorts, POR last September and CSR last month. My vote would be for POR. It just felt more "Disney" to me and had more charm (i.e. carriage rides, more lush landscaping). Both resorts are very similar. We had no problems with the buses at either resort. CSR felt bigger and more spread out. The food court was more crowded too (it was always full of people that were there for a convention). I also liked being able to take the boat to Downtown Disney from POR. You can't go wrong with either hotel, but if I had to do it again I would stay at POR.

Thanks for all this CSR info!!! I think we've decided to try it this time. We stayed at POR (AB) last time and absolutely loved it!!!
