:) My husband will be at CSR this week for a conference and he and some buddies want to go over to ESPN restaurant at the Boardwalk. What is the best way for them to get there using WDW transportation - they won't have park passes so bussing to Epcot and walking through to the back entrance is not an option.

Do you think it would be easier to take a cab? How much do cabs run from resort to resort??

Thanks!

There's no easy way (using wdw transportation) to get from one resort to another. Having said that, if they do want to bus to BW they would have to take a bus from CSR to any of the parks or DTD and then bus to BW. If they're up for 10 -15 minute walk they could bus to MGM and then walk over to the BW.
My suggestion would be to take a cab. It's not far, probably in the 2 mile range. I don't know what that translates to in fare. ;)

Taxis are normally waiting outside all WDW resorts. If one is not available a Cast Member will get one right away. I don't know what the fare would be but it couldn't be very high for a short distance.
Their easiest option using WDW transportation is to take a bus to the Disney Studios. From there they can get on the Friendship boat to the Boardwalk. The boats run continuous service between the Studios and the Epcot International Gateway and make three stops along the route at the Epcot resorts. It's a nice relaxing ride.
We normally walk between the Studios and the Boardwalk area. The walk to ESPN would be about 15-20 minutes. The boat would take about the same amount of time unless they just miss one and have to wait.
