Hi there, this will be our first trip to Disney and CSR...my question is, what is the best section of the Resort to request a room (Casitas, Cabanas, or Ranchos?) We are only getting the standard, limited view room w/2 double beds.

princess: We are traveling with another family and will have 3 kids (7yr old & 2 4yr olds) - requested connecting rooms. We'd like to be relatively close to the big pool if possible (and maybe a bus stop). Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations or preferences on room location. Thanks in advance!!!! :)

Here are some good building choices. Check out my website below for pics of each village.

Cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site (main pool) over the wooden bridge. Most convenient location and most preferred.

Cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site (and playground) and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building. (Closest to the Pool)

Cabana 8b and 9a are in between the 2 above. 9a has a quiet pool.

Ranchos 7b has a quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. 7b is behind cabana 8a.

Casita 3 has great courtyard and fountain views but you will have to walk or ride the internal shuttle to get to the pool.

Casita 5 has some nice fountain and lake views and is close to the Dig Site but farther from the main building.

We Stayed in Cabana's section and thought it was beautiful
because I really liked the tropical look of it.
I also thought that the Casita's section was very
pretty with all of its courtyards, water fountains.
I didn't care for the Desert look of the Rancho's.
:thumbsup2

DH gives me such a hard time because I love the desert theme of the Ranchos! We had a standard room on the back of 6b when we were there. It overlooked a wooded area so it was very quiet & peaceful. It was a short walk over to the quiet pool at 7b and the dig site was convenient. It seemd to be an equal distance from 2 bus stops ( its wasn't a really short walk or a terribly long walk either) It was a ways from EL Centro but the resort is so beautiful that I usually enjoyed the walk! Also if we needed to stop there we would just get off at EL Centro when returning from the parks.
