I'm in general agreement with queendisney, but with a few caveats. We're DVC members and Saratoga Springs is our home resort. We love it, but it's not everyone's cup of tea. It's fairly big and quite spread out which gives it a lovely tranquil feel (other than around the main pool and the Carriage House which is the central building that houses check-in, the eateries and the resort shop) but for some, that's a negative. It's categorised as a deluxe and the rooms are certainly on a par with other deluxes, but they have the external concrete walkways normally associated with the moderates, rather than internal, carpeted corridors. In other words, the units are motel style, rather than hotel style. It's not a big deal for us, but it's a definite distinction. The biggest downside for me is that it doesn't have a decent restaurant or bar. The Turf Club is okay, but it's the only table service offering and it isn't on a par with the signature restaurants of the other deluxes. The adjoining lounge could be alright, but it serves as a holding area for the Turf Club and it always seems to be teeming with kids running around. To add insult to injury, its location means it's used as a passage for folks heading to the boat dock. It's a real design flaw in my mind. Also, the bar is not much more than a serving hatch in the wall. These shortcomings, though, are largely offset by the fact that you're within walking distance of Downtown Disney.
Coronado Springs is an oft-overlooked gem as far as the moderates are concerned. People bemoan its convention feel and the distance of some of the rooms from the main facilities, but it's really very pretty with its lakeside setting, and in
some ways feels more upscale than SSR. Rix Lounge in particular is a very adult offering in a way Disney usually doesn't do well (perhaps not surprising as it's operated by a third party) although it's maybe a little incongruous in that setting.
Transportation to the parks is by bus from both resorts and there's nothing really to choose between the two from that point of view. Obviously SSR has the not inconsiderable advantage of being close to Downtown Disney.
Here are a couple of video tours, both of which give a really good overview of the two resorts.
