I'm running out of time (trip is 7/26 - 8/5) and can't seem to make a decision. I need a resort for the first 3 nts. of a 10 nt. stay. I have WL booked (we have PAP's), but we've stayed there the last 2 times and hope to return there in Dec/ Jan. I'm thinking of saving about $175 by staying at CSR or POFQ with my DD (11) - she likes both places, and our last 4 nts are @ POR w/ 3 in the middle @ the Poly w/ my sister & her 2 girls. Any advice is greatly appreciated - thanks! I'm considering the Dolphin too - I'm a teacher (6 days of summer school to go - WHEW!);)

I would say stay at the POFQ. It's a small resort, has a great food court and has a fantastic pool for children. It also has a nice hot tub for adults to relax in.

POFQ is one of our favorite resorts. It is small enough so we never worried when our kids were younger, we let them explore the resort on their own (by younger I mean 10 or 11!!!) CSR is rather large, and not as easy to get around. I like the food court at CSR better, it has more choices. Some people don't like the 15% charge they add to the bill at CSR though. The serpent slide at POFQ is a lot of fun. I think my choice would be POFQ.
Have a great trip whatever you decide!! By the way, I was born in Fort Worth and I really miss Texas!

Considering the age of your DD, I would opt for CSR. Yes, PO-FQ has a nice pool, and slide, but it is scewed more toward the younger ages. Your DD would likely love the slide and pool at CSR. Good luck with your decision.

If you like a large, mexican themed resort with a great pool area and super transportation, CSR is the right choice.

I have to jump on the band wagon and vote for POFQ. My family & I have stayed there several times (I'm heading back there in December) and have always been pleased. One thing that this resort has going for it is the size. No matter which building you are staying in, it is only minutes to the main building, the pool, the foodcourt and the bus stop. Another plus for this resort is that, although it sometimes shares busses with DxL, it ALWAYS picks up & drops off POFQ first, so you know you will get a seat. There is so much to say about this resort and most of it is great!!! I thought about staying at CSR, until I spoke with a CM. He explained that this resort is very spread out and some other things he mentioned, made me stick with my decision to return to POFQ.

Thanks everyone! Here's the new dilemma: DD now insists we stay @ WL, but the location I really want is a courtyard view, so instead of going to a mod & saving $175, I'm looking at spending $84 more! We plan to relax at the resort alot during these first 3 days, because my sister & her girls will be joining us at the Poly for the next 3 nights for some "Commando - touring". Would you stay @ WL & pay for the view you really want, or save $ and stay at a mod, knowing you'll be back to WL in 5 months? Help - this is getting too crazy!:)

If your going to be hanging around the hotel, then I would stay at WL. I love it's atmosphere.

I would save the money and stay at Coronado Springs. It is my favorite of all the moderates. The pool area is fantastic and very relaxing. They also have a lake with boat rentals, etc. This way you save the $ by staying at a moderate and can look forward to the WL for your vacation in the next few months.
