OK after many days (and nights) of trying to figure out our next WDW trip I've finally come to the conclusion that it would be better to have 2 connecting rooms at a moderate resort rather than one room at AKL (unless they give me a 80$ rate :teeth: )
Anyways....b/c we've stayed at hotels with the boys before I know I will prefer 2 rooms..... SO, my question is: with 3 boys, 9,6 and 4, what would your preference be ? CSR or CBR?
For some reason POR does not appeal to me, especially now with renovations going on, unless you can convince me otherwise, I'm waiting for your info....
Thanks a million!!!

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE we're going (again) to Disney!!!!!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

CBR. I have stayed at both and prefer the theming of CBR more.

If you want to learn more about CBR read the thread below. You will have a great time no matter where you stay.

CSR all the way!!!!!!!! It's our favorite moderate. The food choices in the Pepper Market is great and its prepared right then and there. They also have a buffet breakfast.
The grounds are absolutely beautiful especially at night.
The bus transportation is great also. Once you get on the bus you go directly to the parks, with the exceptions of an occcasional stop at the Blizzard Beach.
We have spent quite a few trip at the CSR and always come back for more.
The POR we stayed in june and although they are a favorite of many, they didn't really do much for me. Don't get me wrong, they were nice but maybe I prefer more themeing to a resort.
They just reminded my of a hotel in the south we have been to before.
The CBR seems to big for us and too many bus stops, I think I read somewhere that there is an internal bus around the resort to take you to the bus to the parks, right there thats to many for me.

We love CBR! My DSs were ages 13 and 10 when we were there in May 2001 and they really liked the theming at CBR. There are also white sandy beaches and several large playgrounds at CBR, scattered throughout the resort. We've stayed there in early May and early February and had wonderful bus service each time. All of the rooms at CBR have been totally refurbished in the last 2 years, and the food court and new sit down restaurant were just completed this past winter. The resort is fun and colorful, but is very romantic in the evenings. You can see the high fireworks from Epcot from the beach near the main pool and from the Martinique beach. I believe I had read that they can be seen from the Trinidad NORTH beach as well. CBR's rooms are the largest of all the moderate resorts and have a curtain between the sink area and the rest of the room which makes a great dressing area if you need privacy.
Good luck with your decision, I'm sure you will have a great time no matter which one you pick :)

we'll be staying at cbr for the first time in a couple weeks. we stayed at csr last year and absolutely loved it! if we didn't want to try places we haven't stayed before, you can bet we'd be going back. :)

After much thought, I had to write my post over. I think you would be fine in a deluxe room at AKL.
My first reaction was to recommend CSR (my favorite resort). The pool there is incredible.

We stayed in a deluxe rom at AKL with a queen bed, bunk bed and day bed and it was VERY large for just my DH, DS, and myself. We had a pool view, which was nice because we were very close to the elevator, which went down to the lobby, restaurants, pool area. . You know your family. If the boys get along and are on the "small" size, AKL wil be fine. If they are big kids, and on the "loud" side, you and DH will probably be happy to have your own room. Good luck deciding!

My DS (12) cant wait to go to the CSR pool slide. We went to the CBR last year and it was great and I would go again, we just want to try a different one this time. We were located in Trinidad south and it was far from the main building, main pool, and food courts. The next time we stay we will try not to get that location again. The bus service was crowded and sometimes we had to wait for another one to show up..... I hope CSR is better. We went in june so that may be the reason CBR buses were so full?

Our boys are 10, 7 and 4 (plus our 12 y.o. DD). We stayed at the CSR a few weeks ago. It was a LOT of walking for the two little boys. We were in the Casitas and we had to walk and walk and walk to the Pepper Market and the Main Pool. The pool is one of the main reasons that we stayed there and it was so inconvenient, we only swam in it twice!

We didn't care for the Pepper Market. IMO, it was disorganized and we always had to wait for the food to be prepared. Not your average food court - grab and go - kind of place. It was hard for us to keep the kids together while we waited for food. Mine like to wander and are seldom still (what small boys are?!).

The kids had a seperate room and it gave them cart blanche to watch TV or play around instead of get ready to go in the morning. Honestly, I'd prefer one room that we could all fit into to keep a better eye on them. I'd vote for one deluxe room!
