I love, LOVE CSR, but we are going with family who will be staying at CBR. BIL doesn't like the food court at CSR, so that's why they are staying at CBR. It would be nice to hang out with them in the evening, but I am afraid I'll be dissappointed if I switch to CBR. Advice, especially if you've stayed at both. Thanks!

My advice would be for each family to stay at the resort they prefer and visit back and forth. You can do that just fine as long as you aren't pool hopping.
There's such a thing as too much togetherness sometimes. Being at different resorts can sometimes be a good thing!

I agree with minnie mum, you might need a break. ;) We've stayed at both and we much prefer CSR. We've stayed at many DW resorts, but always seem to come back to CSR, and when we did stay at a different resort, we found we really missed our favorite!!!

After just returning from a stay at CBR, I can say that I did enjoy the resort. However, it is really spread out. I stayed in the Martinique non-preferred section. It was about a 5-10 minute walk to the food court/pool. Otherwise, you have to take the internal shuttle. This is my only complaint about the resort.
Enjoy your trip! :thumbsup2

I've stayed at both resorts more than once and much, much prefer CSR. CSR has the better bus service, main pool is not as crowded, hot tub is bigger, kids playground is much better, CSR has very comfortable queen size beds compared to full size beds at CBR, and housekeeping has always been better. Plus we just like the feel of the resort better. CBR is very pretty though.

Does your B-I-L know that as of Dec 4th the Pepper Market at CSR is now a CS buffet at breakfast and lunch? Can be a little expensive if paying OOP, but a great deal on the DDP.

By the way, I've been at CSR in Jan, May, Sept, Oct, and early Dec and at CSR in early Dec and Oct, so all different times of the year, so can compare them pretty fairly.

Since you love, love CSR, that's where you guys should stay. You shouldn't change where you want to be for anyone. It's still your trip too :goodvibes

By the way, paintnolish is my sister and the BIL she's talking about is my husband :rotfl:

We'll have a blast no matter who ends up where. Personally I'm still holding out hope for a good deal at Poly. Hey, a girl can dream right?

You betcha. Text or email everyday depending on where I'm at! Would be nice to win something since all I've ever gotten was that He-Man doll from a Hubba Bubba wrapper

Two years ago, our family split between two resorts also. Worked out fine. We met them at the parks and did rides and some meals together.

Going again end of the week. My sister loves CBR. I'm not a fan of CBR. Just hope we like CSR. We did Wilderness Lodge last time and loved it! Staying longer this time, so trying out CSR. The queen size beds won me over.

I'm just gonna put my vote in for CBR. We stay there everytime. Though I understand not wanting to "risk" not enjoying a resort that you aren't used to. As I said we always do CBR and know we will enjoy it and so don't often try anything else since we only get to go once a year or every other year.

That said, CBR is spread out but that is part of it's charm. If you don't want to add anymore walking to yout trip than skip CBR. We usually stay in Jamaica and have a nice walk over the bridge to get to Port Royale. It's a very pretty walk, the whole resort is beautiful and you feel like you are island hopping.

Now for the argument of spending too much time together, my friend and her husband and parents and me and my parents went together one year. They stayed at one resort(I don't remember which) and we stayed at CBR. We saw plenty of each other, met up for meals, a few rides. It was nice to go back to our own "home" at the end of the day.
