CSR or BC

We have always stayed at moderate resorts when we go to Disney and love CBR and CSR. We recently received a pin code for a room discount where CSR would be $177 a night which is a great deal but I’m tempted to book BC instead at $358 a night since we have never done a Deluxe. We have two boys ages 13 and 11 who I think would love the BC pool but I can’t make a decision if it be worth the money. Any advice from those who have stayed at both.

I have had the opportunity to stay at both resorts multiple times and just returned 2 days ago from a 10 night end of year stay at CSR.

You don’t mention when or how long you plan to stay on your next visit, but based on your room rates quoted there is no doubt I would stay at the BC. Your boys will like the pool at BC much better and if you are going to be traveling anytime during COVID-19 there are many more dining options available at or around BC versus CSR. Quick serve dining at CSR today is virtually non-existent and nothing like we have ever experienced during our previous visits. It was a real let down on an overall positive CSR stay.

Beach Club is pretty great and that pool is one of my kid's favorites, but you didn't mention when you would go? We went last January and stayed at BC and it was simply too cold to enjoy the pool at all. If I were going during one of the warmer months, I would choose BC hands down. It's lovely.

Thanks for the insight. We are planning on staying 7 days in June. That’s a bummer about the quick service dining at CSR. I was never a huge fan of the quick service to begin with but my wife loved it.

We stayed at CSR over Thanksgiving and you're right -- the food situation there had a huge impact on our stay. I wouldn't stay there right now unless more things became available.

We are staying at GDT for the first time later this year and super excited - we wouldn't stay at CSR otherwise.

But if we could afford Beach Club instead, that's where we would be staying! :D
