I currently have CSR booked for our trip in June....should I keep this or rent
DVC points for AKV and have a Savannah View? My children would love to see the animals but I am worried about the size of the rooms. CSR has 2 queen beds and the Deluxe Studio at AKV has one queen and a double pull out sofa? Price wise AKV is not much more. Any opinions???
Thanks!!!
In terms of square footage, the AKV studio is a bit bigger than a CSR room. (365 sq ft and 315 I believe).
The AKV studio room offers more storage options. At CSR, you have the chest of drawers and the hanging closet rack space by the sink.
In an AKV Studio, you get an actual closet, a 6 drawer dresser, an armoire, and an additional large drawer in an ottoman-like piece. And you have the option of added space during the day since you can fold up the sofa bed.
The pull out is only a double though, so if bed space is a big issue, then you may want to stick with the two queens at CSR.
I've stayed both places and while I really liked CSR, If the price is the same, I'd go with AKV. I prefer the studio room layout and like having the kitchenette.
The downside though, is that if you rent points, chances are you won't be able to cancel or make changes to your reservation. You don't have the same protection as you do when booking direct through Disney. If you can take that risk, then I would go with AKV.
