CSR location questions??

Hello, I have a question about CSR. I am very bad at reading maps. I am looking at the map of CSR and it looks like if I request a Cabanas room I will be very close to the childrens playground the digsite and not very far from the Pepper market??

Well I am looking at the map they gave me when I stayed there in 01 And it looks like Ranchos bldg 7 is very close to dig site but on opposite side from El Centro where the food court is
Cabannas seems to be smack in between the two.

Its a big circle. El Centro is at 6 o'clock At 9 o'clock is the casitas blgs 1-5 and the healthclub/salon.

noon-1 is ranchos bldg 6-7 and the dig site is just below ranchos. 2-3 o'clock is cabannas bldg 8-9.

Yes it looks like that is what I am seeing too. I would rather be closer to the dig site and playground than the food court. Especially if we have a fridge. Thanks!!

cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site over the wooden bridge

cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building.

cabana 8b and 9a are inbetween the 2 above.

ranchos 7b has a quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. 7b is behind cabana 8a.

The casitas are close to the gym, spa and have great fountains and courtyards. casita 5 is close to the Dig Site with a good walk to the main building. The lower the casita number the closer towards the main building. Casita 4 & 5 are near bus stop 2.

We have stayed at CSr the last two trips. If you stay in certain buildings in the cabanas you can be very close to the dig site or very close to El Centro. Ranchos which is a section I prefer to Cabanas, is closest to the dig site. If the food court/main area is not important, choose cabanas or ranchos to be close to the main pool.

Thanks all!! I called and requested the Cabanas. I am liking this resort more everytime I read about it!!

We will not be using the busses and plan to drive ourselves everywhere. What section/room would be the most convenient to the main pool, food court AND parking lot?

You probably want to request the Cabanas also. I booked the
standard view and they said that could be parking lot. I think they would have parking near each bldg. I remember that is how it was at the cbr. We will also be renting a car because we are coming from the in-laws in Tampa. I don;t think you can be close to every single site you want. Just in the proximity of each one at best.

cabanas or ranchos will work if you are driving. rancho 7b or 6b are nice too
