it has separate weather microsystems. On our last morning as we were packing up to leave after spending 5 days in the rain, the sky briefly cleared. I told DH to pack the car while I took DSs to the Dig Site for a quick swim because we had not been to the Dig Site because of all the rain last week. We put on our swimsuits as fast as possible, and walked quickly from Cabanas 9b. When we arrived at the Dig Site, it was raining and thundering there, so, of course, the Dig Site was closed. 
We sadly walked to our car, where it was still sunny for the moment. I can't believe we stayed at CSR for 5 days, and never were able to play at the Dig Site.
By the way, we sent a fax requesting Cabanas 9b or 9a, or Casitas 1 or 2 because DH had a conference at CSR, and wanted to be close to the conference center. We were given a room in Cabanas 9b. The location was great, close to the bus stop with the character caravan (and much closer to the bus stop than previous rooms we have had at WL, CR and Poly to the bus stops), close to the main building and conference center, near the Dig Site, and not too far from the parking lot.
